My self-summary

For the people who couldn't read the message above, don't worry, there's nothing naughty about it...well...possibly, you may never find out. Anyway, my name is Austin. I live in a little town known as Brandon, which simply cannot contain my lively and curious nature.

I'm a somewhat (scratch that, very) nerdy person as I love fiddling around with technology and entering geeky conversations. I am a little obsessed with my health, so I do my best to remain active with my life (like rafting, kayaking, running, and the boring nature of 'gym time'). At one moment, I can embrace my child-like nature, which will infect others, embrace the wondrous nature of life, and not have a worry in the world; however I know when I must pull up on my bootstraps and be serious.
What I’m doing with my life
I came, I saw, I conquered USF; I recently graduated from school. I try to live a humanitarian and joyful life. My current work involves the gleeful nature of warehousing. During my free time, I volunteer at a few organizations, a hospital and a hospice. When I return to my peaceful abode, I relax by reading a good book, playing some games, chatting to friends via this mystical thing called the 'Internet,' and attempting to learn the complex nature of cooking...I'm still waiting to poison myself or burn down the kitchen, we'll see if either of these things occur.

It is very likely I will be moving to South Africa in January for Peace Corps. This will be the launch pad for my career in Public Health. I plan to attend graduate school for Public Health once my service is over, and to join a NGO to assist underdeveloped nations.
I’m really good at
I'm an awesome dancer. Whenever I hit the dance floor, I become a centerpiece of the room and captures everyone's attention. My dance moves are the grooviest of all the land....But this *may* only apply when it comes to solo dancing.

When I was in the modeling scene for artists, I was told I made a pretty kick-ass model due to my extremely rad poses and good maintenance on my body.
The first things people usually notice about me
"Did you just use the word, groovy? Are you riffing Austin Powers? He's so retroooooooooo." (I will bring back the relevance of the words, 'groovy' and 'rad'!!!!!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a dab of everything, spreading from fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, and non-fiction. Some of my favorite novels are Count of Monte Cristo, The Song of Ice and Fire, Rubicon, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, The Lucifer's Effect, Norwegian Wood, Watchmen, and of course, one cannot forget the greatness of Batman.

My friends describe my cinema tastes as a girly, nerdy hipster. Some of my favorite stuff is Moulin Rouge, Chicago, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Spirited Away (anything Miyazaki), Silence of the Lambs, Lord of the Rings, and Pan's Labyrinth. My current love involves The Lego Movie.

I am a gigantic Joss Whedon fanboy (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dr. Horrible). Besides him, I adore shows such as Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, Madoka Magica, Gurren Lagann, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Arrow, Fighting Spirit, and Lain.

My musical tastes are all over the place: Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Kanye West, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Paramore, Lady Gaga, Dead Sara, The Beatles, Metalocalypse, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Tegan and Sara, and Goldfish. I am currently addicted to NPR.

Food is the joy of my existence. I am a major lover of sushi, hibachi, and fish. I shall become a master in the kitchen one day!
