My self-summary
I'm an explorer, a scholar, and a little bit of a dreamer. I approach life always looking for something new to learn or some new experience to try. I have had a lot of different interests over the years, ranging from computer programming, cocktailcrafting, economics, psychology, to music, travel, video games, and art. I am an information addict and I find myself drawn to the internet like a moth to a bug-zapper. Even so, I really enjoy just going out into nature and disconnecting my mind from technology, civilization, and society. There's something so serene and idyllic to being outdoors, it really is helpful for re-centering oneself.

As for why I'm on OKC, I find myself looking for someone with whom I can really communicate. This has proven to be considerably more difficult to find than I would've expected. I find myself self-censoring frequently, whether its my feelings, thoughts, or opinions, because I don't often feel on the same wavelength as my friends, family, and acquaintances. Maybe someone else out there feels similar... I'm hoping OKC will expose me to a wider range of people than I'd normally encounter.

I sometimes get bored and answer a bunch of questions or tests on this site at one time. This has given a considerable backlog of random information about me in my questions and tests section. Trying to categorize and restate it here would be a tedious undertaking for infinitesimal reward. If you're interested, feel free to browse those sections.

Music:
Music holds a special place in my heart. I'm always amazed by how air vibrations can have such a profound impact on my mental state. I listen to a lot of different music. Part of that comes from my desire to experience history through music. When, I listen to something new, I want to know where it came from, what came before, what the creator's life may have been like. Lately, I want to make my own music this has led me to start deconstructing what I listen to more. And I still want to experience music on a personal emotional level. This places a lot of demand on my listening and attention. I rarely listen to a song the same way twice.
