My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"My father says that almost the whole world is asleep.
Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement." Joe Versus the Volcano

I am a incredibly normal and down to Earth kinda guy. Some would say immature....I ignore them. Others would say fun, outgoing, adventurous, giving, good natured, creative...I like those people.

I grew up in the upper midwest in a very large Roman Catholic family. I learned very early on to be assertive, know when to hold my ground and when to yield. My parents raised me very well. I am very independent, well balanced. They gave me room to become my own person, an adventurous spirit, passion for life, and the ability to shrug off the little things that seem to drive most of the masses nuts.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I build and "engineer" exhibits for museums all over the country. That means I travel a great deal and get to go to places and see things that are a little behind the scenes of everyday life.

I have been working in the entertainment biz for 20 some odd years...films, TV, theater, dance, opera and live show touring. I have lived a lot of life through my career, met some amazing people and seen some very cool things.

I can't imagine doing anything else (sitting at a desk shuffling data around would just destroy me). I get to play for a living :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cake or death, shitting genius, traveling, being authentic, being by myself, buying books and getting around to reading them two years later, building, fixing, tinkering, taking candid pictures, being kind to animals, falling asleep at concerts, polemics, hanging really heavy shit from ceilings, being totally comfortable with heights, oral sex, buying my date dinner, driving, negotiating around foreign cities, not defining myself with "isms", drinking beer, critiquing production value, understanding heavy Scottish brogues, quoting movies, self deprecating Jewish humor, pissing off anybody that defines themselves by a political party or system, being a normal empathetic human being.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I whistle a lot. Self confidence when I dine alone. That the world does not revolve around me. My smile. The dimple on my cheek, which is really a scar.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love to read...mostly non-fiction. (I am not going to impress you with a ton of authors and books most people don't read, I will, however, let you borrow them)
Music....yep...I listen to music. (Again, not going to impress you with my likes and dislikes)
I am a huge fan of film, theater, opera and TV. I am warming to soccer but cannot stand American football.
I love photography, swimming, archery, kayaking......
Eating all the meat, gluten, GMOs and any other socially maligned food I can get my hands on. Food is not a political issue with me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Passport
Great travel stories
Copious amounts of yummy food, drinks and good company
Border Collies
Adventurous attitudes
A simple life
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
In all seriousness..... New projects and travel. For 2014/15... I just finished up with a children's museum in Beijing. Next up, Yellowstone but really, you never know what you'll end up doing in my biz. Travel: Well, I just finished two weeks in the Republic of Ireland and a week in Northern Ireland.....unbelievable life changing trip. Next year....Vietnam, Cambodia and maybe Thailand. Places I will eventually get too...my epic car journey in Australia, a trip to Antarctica, hiking in Svalbard, summer skiing in Chile....the list goes on and on.

in all silliness...I rarely find people intimidating. Lots of insecurity....but then again, we all are to one degree or another...it's what makes us all far more interesting. Rarely am I intimidated by education, money, sex or "power". If your friends or parents say you are intimidating...you need new friends and parents :)

And even more silliness...

Winds from the east... "Mist comin' in... Like something's a brewing, about to begin... Can't put me finger on what lies in store... But I feel what's to happen, all happened before..."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about or staying at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

If you are creative, artistic, a writer, poet, actor, photographer.... or a classical romantic trapped in corporate body. I appreciate people that can uses both sides of their brain.

A woman that travels on her own is by far the most impressive type of person on the planet....that is just my opinion (it's a fucking good one) I have been known to write people solely to ask where they are in their picture.
