I am looking for somebody who is able to accept people as they are without judging them. None of us are perfect, we can all acknowledge that right? I believe in being honest, say what you mean and mean what you say, and want to enjoy life because the clock is ticking for all of us.
I love this quotation.
"I might not be one's first choice, but I am a great choice. I may not be rich but I am valuable. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not, because I'm good at being me."
I am a very youthful 60, neither look or feel my "number". Since I was a teenager in the 60's, classic rock is and always will be my favorite music, but as I have matured, I also love listening to blues. Some of my favorite artists are Bob Seger, Van Morrison, REM, Elton John and AC/DC. I love to read, can't see myself getting a Kindle because I love the feel of the book in my hands, and turning the page. Seen a lot of the world but there are still many places I would like to see.
I am a man of simple tastes, have a say what you mean and mean what you say philosophy, and although this probably sounds mundane since it is in almost every profile, I don't create drama, don't play games and am definitely an honest guy with a big heart. I am looking for a relationship, not going to rush into one, but at the same time, you can never have enough friends either. You never know if you don't say hello.
I prefer :
Bare feet to shoes and socks
Roller Coasters to Carnival rides (but you have to sit up front)
Real books to Kindle (I love to actually hold the book and turn each page)
Coffee or Mocha ice cream over chocolate
Dogs over cats
Classic rock and Blues over Country and rap
The Liberal left over the Conservative right
Quote from a friend. "So being a hippie is not a matter of dress, behavior, economic status, or social milieu. It is a philosophical approach to life that emphasizes freedom, peace, love and a respect for others and the earth. The way of the hippie never died. There have always been hippies from the first time society laid down rules, to Henry David Thoreau, to John Lennon, to you and me."
Here's a sample of 2 legendary Australian singers, go watch it, it reveals some of my taste in music.
I am also passionate about baseball so I'll end here with 2 words.....Play ball
