My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Those that are interesting apply within.

Ok - those that hang around on here have noted that yes, I'm still here. Those that are new, Hi! Yes I'm easy to talk to and quite normal (tick) however turns out I'm a bit fussy, opinionated and stubborn. I do like to consider that these can be endearing traits... although I realise this might take some convincing! But, the point is, that's why I'm still here (in case you were wondering).

I've moved down from the north nearly 7 years ago, but you're lucky, my accent doesn't give me away too much. I like the city, but I'm from the country, so now like the mashup of both; convenience with trees. I'm mostly found wittering about films, books or the news in a coffee shop, and I'm no expert on any of those topics, but I just enjoy the conversation.

Like most who are hitting nearly 30 (gulp) I have developed my own odd tendencies - of this i'm fully aware! So I rate things, speak to fast, like guessing games, and enjoy factual anomalies.

No idea what I'm looking for in a guy, just someone who is honest, intelligent, genuine and their own person and as independent as I am. (A good cook, handy around the house and doesn't mind an odd animal here and there never goes astray as "desirable traits" ...oh, and tall too, please be taller than me!)

And don't be boring. Please god, don't be boring. I don't deal to well with boring. But remember, I'm a geek, so I might not find the standard things boring....
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, running with the dog, trying to buy a house...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making conversation; being annoyingly cheery in the early mornings and still communicable late at night (sometimes, not always guaranteed); staying positive; enjoying most films; being coordinated; throwing and catching; looking at nice views; not being bored by my own company; touch typing; getting easily distracted...

The list is practically endless...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I could be crude here, but I'll resist the urge....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Terry Pratchett, Patricia Cornwell, Crichton, Stephen King, Karen Slaughter, Christopher Reich...if it has a good story...I'll read it..

Movies & Shows: Black Hawk Down, Bourne films, Bond films, Prison Break, Merlin, Sex and the City, Billy Elliott, Behind Enemy Lines, The Thin Red Line, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan, Source Code, De Ja Vu, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Any films by Wes Anderson, particularly Moonrise Kingdom, The imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, Mr and Mrs Smith, (hmm there might be a theme here... - consider it "Action and War films with the odd random one thrown in...that generally sums up my film taste...)

Food: Anything - just not raw tomatoes please!! Or liver, or indeed, crab meat, or mussels, or olives...well I didn't think I was fussy...
*Update*....turns out I can tolerate olives...ooo good I always wanted to join in the starters at an Italian! And drink cosmopolitans without pulling a face
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computer; dog; phone; car; money; good health.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I detest coat hangers...
Plotting the downfall of coat hangers...
Getting annoyed at having to have coat hangers in my wardrobe...
Considering why I have a wardrobe in the first place...
Should I really say these things out loud...?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying a bit of well earned "sitting" time...
Preferably with a film, and cup of tea, and biscuits, loooots of biscuits. The more biscuits the merrier..
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Oh - as if...!
