Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an ex-airline pilot and a squadron commander in the Civil Air
Patrol. I've traded in my wings and now work for the State of
Connecticut - less motion sickness, more money...
I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with an Associate
of Science in Aviation Management, and spent time there as both a
student and a flight instructor turning college students into
airline pilots. I play Golf (5 handicap) and listen to 80's music
and jazz most of the time (XM is a life-saver since I commute 45
minutes each way to work...) I spend a good amount of time online
during my downtime in front of a $3,000+ computer setup that I
designed and built myself.
I like quick-witted people who can keep up with me in conversations
and have a very low tolerance for airheads... please don't contact
1) you ever want to have children... I can't stand babies or small
2) your IQ is less than your shoe size... airheads annoy
3) you are under 5'5" (sorry... I'm not attracted to women
significantly shorter than me)
4) you are one of those high-maintenance "drama queens"
5) you smoke... I've lost enough family members to smoke-related
6) you get offended easily by what people say... I have a very dark
sense of humor, and I don't hold back...
7) you have a lot of tattoos or an insane number of piercings in
random places... major turnoff...
for all the grammar nazis out there... sorry... I don't spell check
on the first date...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Flying planes, playing golf, and being awesome... I think...
I work for the state now, which takes up a lot of my time, more OT
= more money but less free time... delicate balancing act.
I also spend a lot of time on my computer. The entire setup I
designed and built myself, allowing me to either be productive or
waste time in front of 9 feet of TV screens.... more likely the
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Poker: Back in the day, I played poker as my only source of income,
and I was successful as both a player and a coach, having created a
few outstanding players who were able to make a lot of money
themselves... now I co-host a weekly poker podcast...
Golf: I used to play on my high school team... now, I play in
various state tournaments and competitions and have worked my way
down to a single-digit handicap...
Chess: I'm no prodigy or grandmaster, but I try...
Flying: My career of choice... Over the years I have become very
good at it... where others have struggled through flight school, I
made it through all the way to the airlines without any
difficulties.. definitely one of my strongest abilities...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Typically people I first meet in real life I tend to keep an
artificial distance from until I get to know them... it sometimes
takes a while for me to open up to them... those that last past the
first impression I tend to get along with and they typically get
along with me...

Books: RIP Tom Clancy
Movies: Mostly Action/Adventure, though if I like the trailer I'll
go see it whatever genre it is...
Music: 80s music, Classic Rock, Jazz, little bit of everything for
the most part... not really a fan of country music...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) A Computer and internet access
2) An aircraft
3) Technically, all the necessities of life (air, food
4) My intellect
6) Something to accomplish
Note, anyone who puts "love" on this list is lying... you're
without love right now, that's why you're on a dating site!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a fixed schedule, and I probably never will... so days
of the week don't really matter to me...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Despite being an airline pilot I still have a fear of heights....
ironic, isn't it?
