Another thing you should know about me is that I'm adventurous. I cannot think of a better way to connect with God than to explore his creation. I love to hike, explore National Parks, and go off the beaten path. I appreciate desolation more than many things, and if something's remote and hard to get to then all the better. The idea of a trip of a lifetime would be to trek across the Sahara for a month (yes they do have these kinds of trips) and enjoy the isolation and the night sky. But I admit that's the more extreme side of me.
I'm a huge geek when it comes to wildlife (love animals), weather, and aviation so beware haha. Oh, and I also collect comic books (I know, my nerd level just went one step higher ha).
I love to travel, and besides a couple of hobbies that is where I want to invest a lot of money in. I have been blessed to have had alot of opportunities to travel, and even live in other countries. I had the priviledge of getting my Master's degree in Australia (I miss it over there everyday). Of course I would love to go to areas with nature, but as long as a place is interesting I'm not too picky (FYI I'm a beach bum at heart).
As far as a hobbies go my two biggest interests are probably Scuba diving and storm chasing. Scuba diving has been on a hiatus due to money constraints but I'm keen to get back to it soon because boy it's a blast! Storm chasing is the new venture of mine and I'm currently studying up on weather so that I can go out and do it next spring (if you've seen the movie Twister it's not quite like that haha, but it's still a great movie).
As a person I'm super laid-back and easy going. I'm keen to do just about anything if it involves getting to know people and having fun. I've got my main interests, but I enjoy many other things that people like to do as well. For example, I usually don't go out of my way to fish, but when I do it's a great time. Same with skiing, biking, etc. I can also be quite goofy, although this might not be apparent until later since I can sometimes be a little reserved at first. All in all, I just try to have a "no worries" attitude.
I love to serve people, and it's great doing mission work. I've done missions in Costa Rica and Uganda and both were awesome experiences and I would love to do one again soon.
Well that's me in a long nutshell haha, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
