My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty awesome. Everyone says that, sure, but I mean it. Like Charlie Sheen, but without the drugs and the crazy. Seriously, what's not to like? I'm obviously amazingly good looking, and I have great taste in red fleece jackets (just look at the pictures). Here are some things you can't tell from the pictures, however:

* In reality, I am 3-dimensional
* I am composed of, literally, trillions of cells. These are tiny and cannot be seen in a conventional photograph
* I can pronounce the letter R properly in French, Spanish, Russian, _and_ English words
* I know the difference between imply and infer

Believe it or not, it's all true!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am part owner of a small company that invents toys. As such, I do spend a large amount of my time at work. We design neat stuff.

I try to also find time to hang out with friends and see my family, and I'm looking for someone awesome to share my life with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
* Fixing things--just generally, I seem to be good at figuring out how things work.
* Making guacamole--Avacados are probably my favorite fruit.
* Soldering--comes with the job.
* Going out for brunch
* Playing devil's advocate
* Drinking beer

are my strange sense of humor and that I am the human Wikipedia.

These are some sci-fi authors whose books I like: Jack Vance, Peter F. Hamilton, Neil Stephenson, Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Keith Laumer, Clifford Simak, Dan Simmons.

These are some other authors whose works I like: Ellis Peters, Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Bill Bryson, JRR Tolkien, George Orwell, Stephen King.

Categories of food I generally enjoy: brunch, featuring eggs benedict; good pizza from Ken's; Thai, Indian, or Mexican; occasional BBQ (it's just so much meat).

Music: It's pretty conventional, but I will never get tired of listening to the Beatles. In recent years, I've really been into The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, the Pixies, Billy Brag, Cake, Coldplay, and others.

These are some of the movies I gave 5 stars to on Netflix: Reservoir Dogs; Blade Runner; Spirited Away; Dune; Dr. Strangelove; The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; Being John Malkovich; Amelie (which I'd give 6 stars to); The Matrix; Brazil; Aliens...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This is hard to answer, because I feel like I could get along pretty well without almost anything. Six things I like to have are my dog, books, a music collection, good friends, good conversation, and a computer (for Wikipedia).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the Universe, everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Often just hanging out at home and relaxing, reading a book or hanging out in the back yard with a fire. I might also be seeing a movie at Kennedy School or Laurelhurst or at my brother's house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Occasionally, I spend the evening drinking Scotch and watching music videos on YouTube.

You're awesome, you love great conversation, and you want to go out for brunch. Knowing how to properly use the words "its", "it's", "literally", and "ironic" is a plus. Yes, I put the commas outside the quotation marks.
