I have been described at times as: loquacious, witty, ambitious, analytical, romantic, funny, intelligent, loyal, .. and at other times as nutty, childlike, obstinate, narcissistic, sarcastic and annoying as hell ;) ..

A few random things about Moi:

1. enjoy collecting new experiences - traveling, trying new cuisines and meeting new people.
2. take candid photos and videos even though I have a v crappy camera.
3. love the water and anything under, on or above it ( scuba diving, para sailing, jet skiing ...)
4. enjoy a quiet stroll by the river, lying on the grass under a starry night, a good book\movie at home and a night out getting wild almost equally well
5. cant play a musical instrument, but wish I could (its on my to-learn list along with salsa dancing and krav maga)
6. believe that life happens "in the meantime" and I take time out to enjoy the mundane
7. grew up in India, went to uni in Canada and now live in Singapore
8. am a proud tree hugger
9. can (and will!) inundate you with multiple theories about life, love and the world in general.
10. there are only 9 things on this list because 10 is normal and normal is boring. oops! ;)

the question is - what can you do in my life? ;)

I love life and want to make every moment count. There are a few important things in life: health, loved ones and career and I'm working on getting them right! I don't fret the small stuff and am happy to take pleasure in simple things.

I'm currently taking advantage of Singapore's fantastic weather (admittedly I've been scarred by Indian summers and Canadian winters...) and location to travel on a budget and explore the region, meet more people, sample the cuisine and generally accumulate new experiences.

I enjoy the outdoors: biking, hiking, water sports and am always up for something new and exciting.
I've been hang gliding, skiing, white water rafting, parasailing, jetskiing and scuba diving.. next up perhaps sky diving? ;)

I'm not a regular clubber, though I do hit Azzucar\Attica\China One or Rupee Room occasionally.

I'm looking to meet *intelligent*, adventurous people who grok my humor ... and maybe... perhaps even meet that special someone...
(One can hope right!?)

Books: Science Fiction (Foundation and everything else by Asimov. Ender's game .. pretty much all hard SF). Biographies, alternate history, hot-book-of-the moment (ala Freakonomics, The World is Flat etc), Innovator's Dilemma, Innovator's Solution, Seeing What's Next.. other books which attempt to make sense of life, love, business and the world!

Podcasts: AstronomyCast, The Brain Science Podcast, Physics for future presidents, Buzz out Loud, CBC Ideas, ChinesePod... among many many others!

TV\movies: Almost all comedies and science fiction: FRIENDS, How I met your Mother, Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Daily Show, Rachel Maddow Show etc. Star Trek (all of them) Stargate, Outer Limits... Documentaries on Space, History; Neanderthals, WW2, Future, technology, successful people\companies.

No horror or stuff with blood\gore\needles. (I'm ok with planets blowing up though...). everything else on a case by case basis.

music: eclectic - dont have too many strong preferences ( The Arrogant Worms rock though!)

food: anything delicious and not *obviously* a heart-attack-on-a-plate. Especially enjoy fresh seafood (I also like trying stuff that I dont recognize... - you only live once right!)

I used to think it was the internet (six times over)..

but after actually enjoying a camping trip in december (yes in freaking December!) to the middle-of-nowhere in Canada, spent in log cabins without electricity.. .. I'd say i'm pretty adaptable ;)

my next move to take me one step closer to total world domination muahahahah!
