My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Self Summary. The best part of an OKCupid profile. Okay, well, how do I summarize myself? Well, I like to think I'm a funny guy, especially when under pressure. I'm pretty laid back, too. I'm up for pretty much anything, unless it's demanding or something. That's a keeper quality, right?

I like to take things at an unusual pace. I have this tendancy that I'm not proud of where I start some things and never exactly finish them. I'm starting to get better at seeing some things through, but I still have plenty to learn and a ways to go before I'm okay with it, as long as others are as well.

I'm finally in development of my first full-length album, a concept album. Let me know if you wanna know about it/hear a track or two.

Sometimes, I have a poor attitude about things, but I'm not the hardest to cheer up. I'm also pretty timid at first. The main reason I started this page is because it's easier to get out of my shell with the aid of technology. Thank you, Internet, for making the world an easier place for shy and lazy people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently figuring some things out about where I'm going to go and what I'm going to do. I'm currently a cashier at Jewel-Osco in Joliet, which is everybody's dream, really. Rumor has it I'm going to be promoted to Supervisor, so that's something.

I'm taking a break from school at the moment to work on music, and my jobs to save up a bit of money. I love to travel, just went to France last fall. Hope to eventually go to other fantastic countries over the course of my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
For one, music. I've played guitar for over seven years, drums for about twelve years and piano for nearly eleven years, roughly. I have a pretty good ear for music. If I hear a song once, I can play it back almost perfectly, difficulty permit. It's basically the biggest gift I carry. I sing, as well, every now and then playing an open-mic set. I also have some experience writing and recording, with the help of my laptop and a good USB microphone. I do what I can.

I write music by myself and with others. I have my own music that I record 100% by myself, including an on-going concept project called 2012, with a track inspired by each month of the year. I also have a concept album in the works, like I mentioned before, with an original story . You can check out some of my solo stuff at:

I'm also good at, or I like to think I'm decent at, writing. It's become one of my biggest passions. I think of a few characters out of nowhere and I just get the urge to tell their story, show who the characters are and what they're capable of. I mean, watching tv is the greatest research ever. I've written scripts for an entire, 20-episode show I came up with se t in the 90s. ask about it if you're curious.

Basically any sort of dorkiness, like weird songs and odd jokes. I try to entertain, even if I come off sounding like a dad.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My giant glasses and my noisy laugh. They also notice I can get repetitive about a certain topic sometimes, if it intrigues or interests me. It's just something I do in conversation.

First thing new people notice about me is how shy I am at first. If I feel we have things in common, I get a little more comfortable and make efforts to start conversations. But working as a cashier has helped with my small talk abilities a little bit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite novel is Catcher in the Rye. It's a fun read, I like reading and sometimes I relate to Holden. Other favorites are the Harry Potter series, A Song of Ice and Fire (Currently on a Game of Thrones. Need to catch up.), The Magicians.

Star Wars is my number one favorite movie of all time. If you don't like that, that's unfortunate. Rom-Coms are awesome, especially as a date option. Overall, I love Wes Anderson, P.T. Anderson, basically anything Martin Scorcese and Tarentino, I just saw and loved Prometheus, Adventureland, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Shows are great, because they cover any spot. Comedy, Drama, Action, and my favorite, awkward tension. When I need a laugh, I go to Workaholics, Community, Parks and Rec, Cheers, The Larry Sanders Show, Girls, Brooklynn Nine Nine, and Veep. My favorite Dramas, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, Homeland, and Sons of Anarchy.

This is the hardest part to write because I have so many to list, but don't want to bore. The all time favorites would be Radiohead, Talking Heads, Pixies, Yo-La Tengo, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, and the Replacements, but my tastes range from Classic Rock to Alternative to Indie to Electronic to Rap.

Italian food is my favorite. I like pasta and chicken. I'm also a fan of mexican food. Cheese is great on almost anything. I also like a good honest whiskey. And a nice beer. Miller and Bud do not count as a nice beer. Sam Adams, Three Floyds, Revolution, and Two Brothers are examples of nice beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family. My sister is very close to me, and my dad is one of my best friends. He also lets me live in his house.

2.Friends. What good is life without friends? Also makes music more fun.

3. Netflix. Gimme all the movies and tv shows you can!

4. Entertainment. I love writing music with all my heart, and I love to write scripts and jokes for any screen.

5. My Notebook. It's where I create my favorite things, songs, characters, anything.

6. Technology. To be honest, I'd be so lost without it.

Someday I'm sure nature will replace that option. This planet is the most beautiful thing in the world...wait...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Too many things for my own good. When I was younger I used to walk around the house acting out movies I had in my head, often adaptations of videogames or computer educational games. Now I just do all of it in my head. I lie in bed for an hour or so before falling asleep reciting dialogue to myself usually. I think of characters, scenarios, and sometimes good music progressions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
One of a few things. Maybe I'm chilling at home hanging out with friends, watching a movie. Maybe I'm working on fresh music in the "Studio" (My basement). Maybe even up in the city hanging out with good friends. Maybe even a date if I'm lucky enough.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really keep too much secret, but I guess the fact that I hadn't had a Mother since I was 10. Also, I have Ulceritive Colitis, which is totally treatable.
