My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Pop culture Princess with fully functioning sense of irony.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When not working my worthwhile pursuits include: procrastinating, scuba diving, snorkelling, leaning how to freedive and generally hanging around the ocean, cooking my way through the Momofuku cookbook, krav maga, wondering what exotic new stamps I can get in my passport, cheering on my beloved Swans and looking for the best gin joint in town.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The awkward segue, of course.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Pretty eyes, pirate smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Reading: Essential. Really. I will devour anything I can get my hands on. Amazon's Kindle "Buy with one click" is my nemesis. Newspapers, The Economist, The Atlantic, The New Yorker and all of the non fiction. Favourite authors include Murakami, Mantel & Raymond Chandler.

Movies & TV & Radio: I can be the cute one, you can be the film expert (as long as you're down with the Bechdel test, that is.) When it comes to the small screen, I have a weakness for comedy and political drama. I watch TV news & current affairs semi religiously and current favourite shows include House of Cards / 30 Rock/ Girls/ Rake/ The Newsroom / (OK, The Newsroom was actually terrible, but I still watched it) I'm not ashamed to admit I listen to Radio National, and I adore This American Life.

Music: Equally happy dancing to electronica or checking out a live band. Happiest when singing along to the radio in my car. (Because seriously, who doesn't love caraoke?)

Food: Um, Yes. Ever been on a dinner date with someone who orders a salad, hold the dressing, and then just pushes the lettuce around their plate with a fork? Yeah, I am not that girl.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet, coffee, the sea, shoes that make me appear taller than I actually am, a fully functioning sense of irony, and the Oxford comma.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why so very few of you well-read chaps include women on your list of favourite authors. (NB Yes, Ayn Rand is a woman; no, you do not get any brownie points for including her.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking wine and discussing politics and pop culture.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a double-barreled surname. Every time someone says, "But what will you do if you marry a man with a hyphenated surname?!" I laugh like it's the first time anyone's thought to ask, but I secretly add them to my list of people who say weird, creepy stuff. It's a surprisingly long list
