TV: Generally speaking I believe TV is an obsolete medium. Linear
time-sensitive programming with no option to block ads? No thanks,
I've got the Internet. That being said, here are some of my
favorite shows that came from tube land:
The IT Crowd, Star Trek TNG, The Mighty Boosh, The Daily Show, The
Colbert Report, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Father Ted, The
Venture Brothers, Metalocalypse, China, IL, A Bit of Fry and
Laurie, Who's Line Is It Anyway?, Red Dwarf, The Prisoner, Kids In
The Hall, Upright Citizens Brigade,The Simpsons (when it was still
good), Workaholics, The Boondocks, etc.
BOOKS: I tend to read a lot of books on philosophy, psychedelics,
and various occult/esoteric/weird topics. Out of them all though, I
most enjoy the works of Robert Anton Wilson (fictional or
non-fictional), especially The New Inquisition.
Fiction-wise I like the works of Kim Stanley Robinson, Patrick
Rothfus, Grant Morrison (although I thought the last couple
"Invisibles" trades were less cohesive than the rest of the
series), Piers Anthony, Alan Moore, Frank Herbert, Philip K. Dick,
Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, and William Gibson
MUSIC: Hoo Boy, ready for another list? Here we go:
Radiohead, VAST, Nirvana, Eskmo, The Beatles, Coco Rosie, Smashing
Pumpkins, NIN, Baths, Karma Bomb, Sun Araw, Portishead, Sneaker
Pimps, Blue Scholars, Scroobius Pip, Prefuse 73, Pressed And, Lube
Fondu, Harvey Danger, Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, Sound Garden,

Lifeforms, Shpongle, Cibo Mato, Air, Black Moth Super Rainbow, The
Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Cut Chemist, Cinematic Orchestra,
anything touched by the hand of Danger Mouse, and all sorts of
ambient and experimental music.
FOOD: I'm not vegetarian, but I do tend towards a largely
vegetarian diet (I don't know what it is about tempeh, but I could
eat that stuff 'till the day I die).
I like all sorts of food with the exception of Greek and Korean.
I'm down for sushi or pho, but I very particular about both.
There is a lot of good food in this city, but the most satisfying
meals are the ones I make myself (my specialties are vegetarian
goulash and portobello fajitas).
I'm kind of a beer snob, and absolutely love going to the Stumbling
Monk and imbibing in their tasty libations.
