My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A regular, every day, normal guy.

I work at a local nonprofit in the early childhood health and development field. I believe strongly in the idea that many of the problems we face in society: poverty, crime, violence, teen pregnancy, etc. stem from inadequate education, nutrition, and medical support in a child’s early years. As a society, we spend billions of dollars trying to correct these problems instead of focusing on the 0-5 years when these issues manifest. I work to get more funding for those early years.

My ambition is to live on the ocean. With a Labrador named Yosemite (?). And live in an old house with hardwood floors and a window box. For now though, I’m really happy with where I am and what I’m doing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
See above. And traveling whenever I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I’m good at my job, being a good friend, good at Scrabble, I make a mean Mojito(?), whatever.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my sharp wit. And humble nature.

Fried Green Tomatoes.

Books: I do read and have pretty wide taste. I just finished a couple of books on ultra running (Born to Run and Scott Jurek's autobiography). Those folks blow my mind.

Movies: Almost Famous, Away We Go, High Fidelity, Nick and Norah, 500 Days of Summer, Constant Gardener...

Shows: I don't watch much TV. Although Arsenio Hall is on in the background while I'm writing this so maybe I shouldn't get too smug.

Music: Modest Mouse, Wilco, Shins, Hold Steady, Okkervil River, Iron and Wine, Tom Petty, Decemberists, Calexico, Radiohead..

Food: Thai, Italian, Mexican, Greek... All.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family and friends.

2. Running, bicycling, lifting, etc. Anything that gets the endorphins flowing. Preferably done outside in the sun.

3. Music.

4. Travel.

5. Baseball.

6. Coffee and tea. With cinnamon and honey respectively.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. The past. Sometimes the present. Trying to practice more mindfulness, it's hard dont'cha know.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Exploring Tucson. Or wherever else I happen to be.

If you are compassionate and kind, into good music, love the outdoors (especially bicycling), appreciate good beer, prefer 4th ave. to the foothills, are honest and trustworthy, excited about life, and enjoy traveling, exploring, and having adventures...

Or if you feel like it. Free country.
