I love all types of books and music, But I tend to gravitate
towards fiction novels. Jaqueline Carey and Nabokov hands down
favorites (E.g. Lolita, Mary, The Kushiel's Saga). But I'll admit,
I dig me a good romance novel. It's all good research for my own
eventual novel. I'm a great fan of fantasy series because they
create whole new worlds to explore with my mind. (Also Steampunk,
can't forget those)
As for music, Anything with a strong rhythm gets to me. After
working in a CD store for 2 years I can appreciate anything. But
music with strong bass or awesome lyrics are where I'll be. Lately
been rocking to some Chance and a bit of the Local Natives; but I
spend great deal of of time listening to Mt Eden and Grieves as
I don't watch much TV (mostly because I download them) but I enjoy
a good comedy every chance I can. (E.g. How I Met Your Mother) I
try to watch NCIS, Doctor Who, and/or Psych whenever I can download
them is on; or whenever I do my Netflix marathons.
Anime/Manga hold a spot in my heart because I grew up on them.I
check my weekly releases and still get sucked into late night
I like to cook meat. Just about any style of meat I can work with.
I spent a great deal of time cooking growing up and meat was my
specialty. However, I would love to learn more varied vegetable
dishes. Also with my sweet tooth, I try to bake a cake or some
cookies once a month or so but I've recently slowed down on those.
