Hi, the name's Korey!
Or Korey.
But friends call me Korey.
Take your pick; any of those work!
I suppose I should begin by explaining the two things which will have most people wondering: my username & headline, and the two quotes on my profile.
The username & headline represent two things which I am very big fan of. "Boomstick" is what my favorite character from my favorite film trilogy calls his sawn-off shotgun, and "zombie repellent" is informative of the fact that I'm a huge fan of zombies and all that entails. (Yes, I'm prepared for The Zombie Apocalypse. Are you?)
The quotes are major lines from another of my favorite films. (Can you tell I'm a movie buff, yet?)
(NOTE: If you know what films I am referring to, then we're definitely gonna get along!)
Before I go any further you should know that I love to have adventures, and I define my life by them. From spontaneous Midnight quests to a distant Waffle House, to planning a week-long trip into the wilds just so I can camp and hunt and fish, to attempting to race four-wheelers across a lake (I know, right?), to finding innovative ways of making costumes for cosplaying, to nearly blowing my nether regions off trying to make a torch (Actually a funny story, in retrospect!)...I'm always on the cutting edge of making crazy decisions that lead into the realm of fun and unknown!
There are a few words that can easily sum most of my personality up: geek, nerd, and dork. I say this for several reasons:
First, I always come up with obscure ways to make jokes out of everyday situations using lines from movies or games. I've also been known to actually sing the soundtrack to my day out loud on occasion.
Second, I am a huge fan of The Joker (since I was three, back in '93, which means I didn't have a religious experience after watching The Dark Knight like MOST "Joker fans"), so I collect comics like crazy. Originally it was just comics with The Joker in them, but it has evolved into pretty much any kind of comic that sparks my interest!
Third, I'm a gamer. I play video games somewhat regularly, though usually only within a few specific series and only for the story. I also love board games and tabletop games. (Yes, that means Dungeons & Dragons.) Card games are alright, but I am only really into Magic: The Gathering.
Fourth, I collect all sorts of weapons from all throughout fantasy and history because I'm into sci-fi/fantasy and role-playing. I love the books, the films, the games...everything that falls within those genres. (So yes, I can hold my own in a sword fight.)
Finally, I am an actor. I don't mean that as in, "Oh God, lookit! It's Korey! He's a movie star! AHHHHHH!!!!", but rather in the way that I just love to perform both on-stage and on-screen, simple as that. I'm currently going to film school so that I can open my own film production company one day, which will hopefully allow me to break into the business from the top!
Having said all that, I would like to note that beneath all the layers of crazy nerd there is a hopeless romantic. I believe in love and chivalry, two concepts which seem dead in today's world; little things like opening a door or pulling out a chair are a big deal to me! I remember important dates like holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries, and I actually plan ahead for them! I'm the kind of guy who enjoys random texts or talking on the phone for hours (at all hours) just for the hell of it. Though I've been known to plan crazy and epic dates, I also deeply enjoy a quiet night at home with hot tea and a good book or movie! Oh and sorry sports fans, but I pretty much detest all things sports-related, unless its something off-color like fencing or paintball.
"I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave!"
While I believe it's true that there is some merit to having a level of physical attraction to whoever you are dating, I think that a great personality matters far more than an awesome body. (After all, looks don't last forever! Y'know, unless you turn yourself into a plastic doll or something. Kinda gross. Suppose I should rephrase: Youth doesn't last forever! There, I think that covers it!)
I don't discriminate against race or anything because a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman! I do however discriminate against women who are trashy, slutty, and/or ghetto fabulous. I think that's fair.
When it comes down to a woman's personality, I look for a good sense of humor and a strong sense of affection more than anything. I avoid "party girls" and the sort of woman who'd rather flirt with everything in sight rather than be with her guy, for obvious reasons. Literally, I avoid them like the plague. I think the phrase "Jedi in the streets, Sith in the sheets" about covers what I look for! I am also a bit of a Grammar Nazi, so if you are uneducated and/or illiterate...it's not going to happen.
Concerning looks, I'm into "thicker" women; not really fat, but not twiggy either. I also prefer if a girl is my height or shorter. Not that I really care myself, but I'd feel terrible if I were the reason a girl felt like she couldn't wear heels from time to time! Oh, and paler skin is way sexier than tan. Just saying!
(As a side note to single Moms: I think you're amazing and I have mad respect for you. BUT, understand that one of my greatest goals in life has always been to be a Dad. That being said, I want to have kids of my own. Maybe not any time soon, but one day. And I could love your kids as much as my own, because I really do love kids! It's just that if you already have several kids and don't plan on having at least a couple more...that's a huge deal-breaker. I'm sorry.)
Pretty much, I just like a girl who isn't bigger than me, either way. There are always exceptions of course, but this stuff comprises my general rules.
Above all, pretty faces are always winners!
Ultimately, I want something serious. It doesn't have to start that way, but I eventually want that special someone. Someone who will have play arguments with me in foreign accents. Someone who makes me feel like I rolled a Natural 20 every time we touch. (Someone who understands what that means, and might have even caught the song reference.) Someone who will have toy sword fights with me in department stores. Someone who lights a new fire in me every day rather than stoking old embers. Someone who inspires me to always be better. A "forever girl" who I can spend my life with! My Rose.
