My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
These profiles sometimes feel a bit generic but in general I am very happy with my life and where I am. I am at a good space professionally and I have a large circle of friends and family that are important to me.

I am looking for a best friend, lover and potentially a long term partner.

My interest are varied and I like to try new things. I am active - I own and ride horses and ski during the winter. My firm has partial season tickets to the Giants and the 49ers and I have tickets to the theater and occasionally the opera. I love to travel and I have spent time in Spain, France, New York and Colorado in the last few years. I also read quite a bit and I am passionate about music. See it all sounds generic. Probably the most important thing is I think I am a good man and being a good man is important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I own a small professional services firm with 110 employees and offices throughout the U.S. We have around 500 clients - primarily early stage technology companies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Enjoying the moment.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books – I read quite a bit but the type of book and the intellectual energy required depends on what else is going on with my life. My favorite books of all time are probably A River Runs Through it by Norman Maclean, Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe and The Great Gatsby. Some favorite authors are Don Winslow, Ron Chernow, Malcom Gladwell, Michael Lewis and James Clavell.

Shows – a lot of HBO and Showtime. I was addicted to The Sopranos and The Wire. I watch Homeland, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy - sometimes the occasional Giants game or Georgetown basketball game.

Music – once again I am all over the board. I love the music that came out of the 90s grunge era – Nirvana, Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I have a soft spot in my hear for classic rock – Led Zeppelin, The Stones, CCR, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan. I like a lot of the music that has come out of Austin in the last 20 years – Wilco, Steve Earl and Robert Earl Keen. For pure relaxation Yo Yo Ma and Vivaldi are always in the mix. Default is likely whatever is on the XM top 20 stations.

Movies - I tend to go for comedies, drams and some independents. I love the old comedies from the 80s – The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Better off Dead, Caddy Shack and the Blues Brothers. It is cliché but I love The Godfather trilogy. Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, Pulp Fiction and The Big Chill would all be up there.

Food – I love everything - as long as it is well prepared.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My daughter, a well made espresso, dark french chocolate, sex, friends and music.
