Agnosticism and it’s important

My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to read, loom knit, and watch Netflix.

I also like salsa, tango, and waltz, but my skills are rusty and rudimentary.

I am very much a nerd and a geek.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I got my license to teach secondary English at the beginning of summer. I'm still looking for a middle or high school to hire me permanently because I got licensed in the only subject where the job market is oversaturated with applicants.

I'm starting to resign myself to being a substitute teacher with a full teaching license, even though everyone I've ever subbed for has told me what a waste of me that is. And also, substitute teaching will not be enough to pay off my grad school loans or move out of my current rent-free housing. Parents can be lovely people, except when they give you a reverse curfew--a time after which you cannot have guests over.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Delusional optimism, with occasional breaks to wallow in the crushing defeat of reality.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would guess it's probably my marshmallow tummy. I just switched from pink hair to purple and it's less noticeable than the pink was. (Pics coming later tonight or tomorrow. Looking for better light to catch the color.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I like YA fantasy books. I really dig books that tie together questing, good versus evil, and the search for identity and a place to belong.

I like romantic comedies, sci-fi comedies, fantasy, and action comedies. There should be a good story and dynamic, well-rounded characters. Many Things should happen, and many moments should make the audience laugh.

Doctor Who is the only show that matters right now. All others are filed away to care about after the DW season ends.

I like the rock/alternative side of pop.

I like sausage gravy with biscuits, rolled omelet sushi, and most Chinese takeout.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Corrective lenses
Rainbow things
Star-shaped things
Sparkly things
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of my time deliberately trying not to think about anything, because even mantras about staying positive lead to an evaluation of why I really shouldn't stay positive. The only way to stay positive is to ignore my problems.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
What I do every night: escaping my stress over not getting responses to my job applications by watching Netflix, reading, or playing one of four games I play on my computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once punched a guy in the dick. I was eight.

To be fair, I had just gotten glasses and he threw snow at my face and it stuck to my glasses so I couldn't see. I don't know why he couldn't outrun a girl he had just blinded, but I tackled him and punched him in the dick because I had just learned that it was the most vulnerable spot a guy has.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you make it this far, you get the cheat codes. Boring first messages make me think that you are boring.

Be funny.
Be geeky.
Make a cute joke.
Use a geeky pick-up line. You know I like fantasy and sci-fi.
If you have a cat, offer me cat-time and then do not try to make it into sexy-time. The cat is the bigger draw.
