The curiosity comes in handy - I'm a writer by trade, worked as a reporter and editor for years. Now I'm running a magazine for the company that owns the Sun-Times. It's a lot of work - but worth it to create something I believe in.
I'm also a writer, and a reader, by avocation. It's what I love to do, or it's one thing I love to do. I also love to eat and cook and hear music and listen to baseball on the radio and watch the morning sunshine dance on the lake while I'm riding my bike to work.
I've got my quirks. I'm a little obsessive about good coffee. I went to law school, and graduated, but have spent the bulk of my career writing and editing magazine stories, managing and training writers. I eat pizza with a knife and fork. I avoid emoticons. My beard is drawn on with crayon.
Who I'm looking for is hard to describe and I probably won't be able to tell you about her till I find her. I want to be with somebody who makes me laugh, who's so smart she scares me, who's maybe a little mysterious. Most of all I want to be inspired.
