I moved to Des Moines for my career about 2 years ago, and just seeing what it has to offer. So far I am liking Des Moines. I have found a lot of cool places already, but now would like to find the not so obvious places to check out. With being new"er" to town, I need a tour guide, or something of the sort. So if your up to it let me know!

I love sports...typical guy answer I know, I know...For playing: Five years on a co-ed competitive volleyball league(update...just got on a team down here!), backyard football with the friends, Disk golf(not that good, but enjoy it), racquetball, ect. I enjoy going out some and doing the bar scene, but would rather see/do other exciting things around town. One thing I have really gotten into since I've moved down here is biking(cycling). I discovered the High Trestle Bridge and have ridden from Ankeny to the bridge.

So far I have achieved a lot of my professional goals, which has been to succeed in college, attain a job that was related to my degree, and become successful in that job. I have since been promoted twice since starting my career here. Since those have been achieved I believe I am now able to turn my focus on my personal goals which are to: Meet some people that have similar interests, and make life-long friends here, and also maybe meet that special someone.

I have an Associates degree in Applied Science for Power Plant Technology. About two years ago I got a job for what I majored in. So far everything has been going great! I feel that I am now ready to start thinking about starting a relationship, and moving my life forward.

Goofing around and making a fool of myself at times, but always know when to be serious as well.

Also can cook a few pretty kick butt dishes, notta one complaint yet!

I tend to take a bit to warm up and show my personality. I guess you could say I'm shy? Once I get to know you though, I am outgoing, and love to have a reason to laugh. I am always positive and see the brighter side of things.

For books I love murder mystery novels. Usually by John Sanford or James Patterson. Also (don't judge me too much) I have read the Harry Potter series since I was eleven. Still needing to see the last movie! I have also read the Hunger Games series upon recommendation from a friend, and really enjoyed them.

Movies I tend to watch comedies, such as The Ugly Truth, I Love You Man, Killers. Then again I'm a guy so I always enjoy my action movies as well.

I don't watch too much T.V. but whenever I do it is usually sitcoms.

I listen to just about anything for music, really depends on what mood I'm in. My favorite bands are Avenged Sevenfold, Skillet, Dirks Bentley, Toby Keith, Ludachris, and sometimes Justin Timberlake (especially with The Lonely Island)

Wondering what's next on this rollercoaster of a life :)

Lately just kicking up the feet after work, and enjoying being back to only 8 hour shifts.
