My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey guys! I am embarking on a new chapter in my life. I've been single for over two years now and legally divorced since April. My goal is to fill the rest of my years with the joyful experiences and passion and presence that my last few years were sorely lacking. So far, so good! What is still lacking is the joy of being devoted to a great man who is equally devoted to me. Do you have the capacity to authentically connect with someone on a deep level? I am NOT looking for a casual hookup. Not even remotely interested.

I have a great family and circle of friends who give me strength and love and happiness when I need it most. I return the favor as often as possible. I have three great daughters who mean the world to me and I am very close to each of them. My two oldest are grown and gone- mostly :) - but I am raising my 14 year old full time. I stay busy with her activities, but can always find time to meet new friends and my hope is for one of those friendships to grow into the great relationship I know is out there for me.

I love simple beauty like a raindrop (not all that simple, really) to elaborate and calculated expressions of beauty like a Mozart concerto. I can be pretty intense and deep when it’s right but I can also kick back with the cowboys eating peanuts out of their shells and drinking beer (minus the beer for me – I stick to sweet, girly drinks) and telling way off color jokes. And just about everything in between. I love music (most genres) and theater and comedy and even trashy TV. I’m pretty eclectic. Hillbilly Hand-fishing to Downton Abby. I just love to be entertained and am not often too snobby about it, except I don’t think I’d enjoy NASCAR or dirt bike racing…but I’ll try just about anything once.

I lean to the left politically and fall into a spiritual but not at all religious category. I tend to be kind of conservative, though, in business and style, so I am kind of an oxymoron. (Emphasis on oxy – not on moron.) Mention the moron joke in your message to tell me you are serious enough about this to at least read my profile completely.

I am not all that interested in becoming a long term penpal on okcupid, though I think a few nice get-to-know-you messages are in order before meeting. Then maybe a meeting for coffee or something casual so we can get a feeling for whether or not there is even chemistry…which is pretty important. Then we can become penpals. :) Just kidding.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend my days working from my home office in software training and documentation. I spend my evenings with one or all of my three beautiful daughters or out with friends or YOU. I sing in a local chorus and enjoy getting out to see movies, live theater, live comedy, or live music anytime I can.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Once you've had a chance to talk to me I think you will notice that I am honest and open and engaged. Most people think I am funny. I like to get to know people, anyone I come in contact with, on a more authentic and deeper level.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I enjoy Stephen King and Dean Koontz books but I just don't spend much time reading anymore though I just finished and enjoyed "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed. After 12 hours staring at a computer screen, taxing my eyes by reading just isn't fun, so I save any reading I do for the weekends or vacation. I love chick flicks like Sense and Sensibility but I also enjoy a thriller, sci-fi or even historical movies. I prefer movies that make you think for a long time afterwards. Though I admit this summer I was addicted to watching every single episode of 24 ever made, so I can be persuaded to watch manly-man or geeky shows/movies.:) I love live theater, especially musicals! I listen to all kinds of music and I'm willing to give just about anything a listen. And food! I love food so much! :) I love to cook and bake and eat....and share it with you!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My kids and family
Great food
A place to call home
communication
Honesty
Passion

Uh...I'll have to give that list some thought. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The well being of my friends and family. Very deep and serious matters like the real housewives of New Jersey. Work. The world-humanity-spirituality. What's for dinner or snack time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out to dinner and maybe a movie with friends or family. Or driving to some new venue where I can listen to some interesting live music. Or cooking up a storm for an intimate gathering. Or popping popcorn to cuddle up and watch junk tv or a movie. Love it all!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a open book and cannot tell a lie so this is a scary exercise. I'll filter myself. I am a bit of a clean freak. I have the need for it but perhaps not the natural talent. I secretly admit that the first expense after winning the lottery would be a full-time housekeeper.

I can be the best friend you'll ever have. I want you to be my best friend too - to have and to hold from this day forward. Yada yada- I know. I'm a romantic and I believe that a real connection can happen and will happen for me. If my profile interests you and you believe that too, message me.
