My self-summary
UPDATE: I am moving to Oakland at the end of July to work for a solar company. Goodbye, Los Angeles, you will be missed. Looking forward to a new chapter in the Bay Area, and I'm excited to meet some new people to check out the city.

I am much more original than my username suggests. And no, it's not just my initials and the year I was born.

I'm here because when I go out, I go out to relax, have a drink, hear music, and hang out with friends. Going out to meet women is not enjoyable, especially when the girl I want to meet is probably at home in comfy socks watching a good movie. Also, this way, I get to filter out the religious.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a job I enjoy. I try to wake up early. I start a lot of projects and will eventually finish most of them. I find new music. I read old books.

I garden, bike, hike, golf, play tennis, dodgeball, go camping, and all of the other things that people do that don't make them original.
I’m really good at
The Irish goodbye.

Also, I'm nearly good enough at the harmonica to fool people into thinking that I play the harmonica.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tell me my neutral face looks angry.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read. Nonfiction, Fiction, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical, all of it.

I consume music like Fig Newtons. And I consume Fig Newtons like this guy -

Roseanne is one of my favorite sitcoms. Excluding that last season where they win the lottery but then it's all a dream.

Joss Whedon. Edgar Wright.

Recently played music: Mayer Hawthorne, Alt-J, Cloud Cult, Angus and Julia Stone, Dry the River, Frightened Rabbit, The Front Bottoms, Typhoon, Three Blind Wolves, Titus Andronicus, J. Roddy Walston and the Business, Jonathan Coulton, The Long Winters, The Staves, The Milk Carton Kids, Raphael Saadiq, Van Morrison, The Decemberists, Elvis Costello, and Heart. Don't even think about calling me out for being a Heart fan. Those gals shred.

I watch all of the movies. Usually alone after 11pm at Arclight. Candy of choice... Goobers.

EDIT: Freakin Arclight got rid of the Goobers. And their prices went up. I'm about to do something drastic, like write a strongly worded comment form.

I'm thinking about reading thru the "A Song of Ice and Fire" Series for the 3rd time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I use the Oxford comma.

I like to sleep in large piles of clean laundry.

My username really is my initials and the year I was born. But at least it doesn't end in "-asaurus".
