Hi! My name is Shane. I'm 26, and a full-time student. I like to read and watch tv, like everyone else. I'm always open to trying new things. I try not to take myself too seriously, and just let life happen.
I've recently gotten into traveling, and am looking for my next destination, probably Canada. I have quirks...Spelling and grammatical errors on signs and billboards kind of annoy me. I like to play video games, golf, and watch British tele. I sometimes bike to work or school. The Scottish Games is something I look forward to every year. I'm kind of a beer nut, I like steampunk, and Tuesday Night Trivia if I have the night off.

Well, right now, I'm going to school for radiologic technology, and work full-time in a hospital. All that means is I'm a very busy person right now. But I do make every effort to still have a fun and spend time with the people I care about.
After that I am going to PA school, probably... Maybe.
I'm trying out Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish...we'll see if I can stick to it.

I need to ask my friends that one of these days...I'm not really sure. But I do know that when I meet someone new, I'm always sure to be having a good time, and that I get along well with most people I meet.

Books: I like epic fantasies like The Lord of the Rings, and The Wheel of Time, the Robert Langdon series, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, among others. I also like to read sci-fi, and historical fiction, as well as biographies and memoirs of people I find fascinating, such as Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs, Benjamin Franklin, and Einstein. Let's see... There's Ayn Rand, Stieg Larssen, and Philip Pullman ... I love Ender's Game, and I'm excited that they're finally making a movie...I'll probably just keep adding stuff as I read them... Pillars of the Earth, American Gods, the Sherlock Holmes mysteries,

Movies: I enjoy movies of all types: action, drama, musical, foreign...pretty much anything. In addition to the movie adaptations of some of the books I've listed, I really like V for Vendetta, Taken, Star Trek, Mr. Holland's Opus, The Bourne Series, The Sound of Music,

Shows: BBC's Sherlock and Doctor Who top my list. The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Whitney, and Falling Skies are some of my favorite shows right now. I've been known to have marathons of some shows like Firefly (which, unfortunately, doesn't take much time, start-to-finish) and Battlestar Gallactica. I think I've probably seen every episode of Top Gear.

Music: The Foo Fighters are my favorite band. My mainstay is always classic rock like The Beatles, Rush, Led Zepplin, Journey, Foreigner, Tom Petty, Peter Frampton -- the list goes on -- but I can always find something enjoyable. Depeche Mode, RHCP, pop, alternative.

I also very much enjoy live entertainment, live bands, musical theatre, and drum and bugle corps competitions.

Live shows I've seen and enjoyed: Wicked, Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Riverdance,

These are pretty much the same for most people. The one thing that annoys me the most on other people's lists is "god."

With my schedule now...working, almost always. Thursday is my Friday and that's when I'm out on the town, looking for a good band to watch. Or a movie, or anything really.

My last relationship lasted 7 years.
And I've seen Wicked 3 times so far, haha.
