My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I try to be a generous and friendly person. Kindness matters to me, but I could hold my own in a sarcasm-off if I had to. I know lots of good jokes and I use the word y'all unironically. I get frustrated easily with people who try to paper over their insecurities with big words that they don't actually understand. I test INFJ, & I sing a mean Elvis karaoke.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a fundraising director for a non-profit. It's a great job, but I work too much - and I spend too much time thinking about work. I love that my work makes a difference, but it makes it tough to disconnect sometimes.

I am learning yoga, meditating occasionally, and I try to do fun stuff like singing with the symphonic choir. A little profligacy here and there is fun too :-)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rolling my eyes at people who take themselves too seriously. Giving back rubs. Conversation. Empathy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I am standing? My height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Sophie's World, The Sea The Sea, Life, Inc., The Color Purple, Power of Myth.

Movies: Showgirls, Waking the Dead, Kairo, Airplane, Clue, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Death Becomes Her, Dangerous Liaisons, Bleu, Blanc and Rouge.

Shows: MST3K. If you think that show is funny, then we should hang out. Buffy. Also Mythbusters, because science!

Music: Mozart operas, Bizet, Arvo Pärt, Janelle Monáe, yé-yé pop, Sneaky Sound System, Dragonette. Hank Williams III makes me rowdy and makes me miss Texas. Joni Mitchell when I am feeling wistful or moody.

It's funny how this box doesn't have a place for "Art", but I love good modern dance and ballet.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Meaningful work
Comedy - either stand up or goofy TV/movies
Feminism
a firm mattress
Obnoxiously singing along to stuff.
I want to add something about my awesome friends, but friends aren't things. Hmm, maybe a bar where I grab a beer and hang out with friends?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How much I want to adopt a rescue dog but am not home enough. How goofy I sound when I make happy noises at other people's adorable dogs (WHO'S A GOOSE PIE? YES YOU ARE.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinks with friends, maybe watching stand up comedy... or maybe at work. Lame, but sometimes necessary.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get super irritated by hypocrites. If you're all about spiritualism and awareness and healing and good vibes and whatnot, but you're a dick to waiters or people coping with homelessness? You can fuck all the way off.

Also, I think IPAs taste like fermented weasel spit.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can teach me a new skill - maybe something survival-esque and post apocalypticy? Knife throwing? How to turn a bicycle into a generator? How to triangulate position on a map? Hell yes, smarts are hot.

Or, heck, if you feel like it. It's all good.
