Hey there, I'm Julian, living in the wonderful Munich.

You can think of me as a perfectionist. No, not that kind of person that needs to have all objects in a room aligned in a 90 degree angle. It is more like I'm always searching for the best in my life and can be a pretty harsh critic to myself (but rarely to others). Because of this, I'm not into social games like getting (half-) drunk in clubs, flirting around arbitrary or other emotional games occuring between many people. I'm a little bit more old-fashioned, think of me as a honest, true, caring and direct person who seeks for the one true love as well as true friendship.
And as you might have guessed already I'm a pretty romantic guy.

That sounds pretty serious I guess. Well this is one important part of me. But on the second look I also am a pretty silly person. This may seem odd but I love to laugh at things which do not even attempt to be good like trashy horror movies. And I also have a multitude of funny faces combined with vivid gesture. And I'm also a very curious type and usually ask all kinds of questions.

When I'm not concerned with exciting image processing, I love to meet and talk with my friends. Usually I prefer a nice movie night with trashy videos (and of course from time to time good ones).
One of my passions is Aikido which I practice in Munich and also fun sport to keep me fit (not what you think you bad girl).
Furthermore I love to cook. Maybe I'm not the best hobby chef but I always try to improve my knowledge, taste new things and pimp the old dishes. And besides the cooking itself I love to eat - fortunately my body doesn't reflect that due to my enhanced metabolism.
When I find the time I like to read books. For some reason I'm only interested in non-fictional books instead of attacking novels.
From time to time I'd like to paint and make photos. If you are nice, I show you some of my art.

Also, I make funny faces during Skype calls and can write really tiny.

My vivid gestures and facial expressions, my enthusiasm, my curiosity. Some people say I have a calming effect. Others trust my immediately and choose to tell their life story to me.

Books
You have maybe read that I'm more of the non-fiction guy when talking about books. I'm interested in lectures concerned with body language (like "Body Talk" of Desmond Morris) and psychology (e.g. "Neuropsycholgie menschlicher Beziehungen" of L. Conzolino) and other scientific books.
The novel which I found the most interesting was "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare.

Movies
I've already mentioned I like trashy movies, especially of the horror genre but I would not consider them as my favourite movies.
I like the movies of Nolan ("Memento", "Dark Knight", "Inception") very much. Also on my top list are "L.A. Crash", "Scent of a woman", the "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" series. Also I like movies with a calm style like "Lost in Translation". And I love "Trainspotting" because of the introspective style.

Shows
I love the insights in the soul of a killer from the first two seasons of "Dexter", the exhiting discussions from "Dr. House" and of course "Simpsons", "Futurama" and the nerds from "Big Bang Theory".

Music
My taste in music can be mostly defined by the alternative (rock) genre. My favourite groups are "Angels and Airwaves", "Linkin Park", "Bloc Party", "Paramore", "Kettcar", "Nada Surf", "Anberlin", "A perfect circle".

Food
I love the mediterran kitchen, especially Italien and Greek dishes. I love a good lasagne or a good spaghetti arrabiata. A well roasted steak is also one of my favourites as well as a good cheeseburger.
Furthermore I like the Indian spices. A nice butter chicken could make my day.

But seriously, I take my time to think about myself, my relations and how I could improve my life and the life of others.
