I can easily give you the sum total of myself in less than a
paragraph. I'm extremely up tight, and I do not like to have a good
time.
I am at least 60% lentils barley and oats.
I dance like Ian Curtis.
(sometimes)
I talk to myself a lot.
And things, I talk to them to, a lot, but mostly when I'm
alone.
Or at work.
Wow, is this really how I want to set the tone for the rest of my
profile?
Too late!
I'm kind of a sucker for philosophy, but I avoid reading about it
because secretly, I'm afraid of the fact that I've probably never
had an original thought in my life.
I love Music, I love jiu-jitsu, and I love my brassicas.
Logic
I hold honesty above most other things, and honesty with oneself
above all other things; that ideal is behind most of the things I
do.
I love beets.
I like sweet potatoes a lot.
I hate pitch correction.
I'm a guy and I don't really care.
My journal is probably a better reflection of who I am.
maybe

Being poor.
Learning to sleep.
Cooking and nutrition. Mmmmm
Working my way into
CrossFit and
Gymnastics and recently getting
really excited about Georges Herbert and the idea of pointing
myself more in the direction of
Parkour.
Being happy about things like early mornings and bare feet on cold
floors.
Trying to do the "right" thing.
Making oatmeal.
Verbing.
Nouning.
Someone I respect once told me that I'm stronger than I look.
So...I'm good at that.
"hipping"
For the last few months or so (alright 7 months), probably all this
hair that's been exploding out of my face. Now, it's the fact that
I'm fresh out of the stuff.
And then that I'm bear foot. RRAAARRGGHHH!!
I mean...barefoot.
Zen Flesh, Zen Bones; Coming of Age in the Milky Way; The Nazi War

I have a certain soft spot for the BBC Chronicles of Narnia

Scriabin,
Shostakovich,
Prokofiev,
Rachmaninoff
Mussorgsky etc. plus
Stravinsky,
Bach,
Chopin,
Dvořák,
Scarlatti, and a bunch of others.
Mostly solo piano stuff, but a lot of concertos, some chamber
music, trios, quartets, quintets, that sort of thing, a few
symphonies, and two operas.
Other than that, for the present,
The Microphones,
Deer Hoof, some Múm,
The Shins,
Slint,
Q and not U,
Björk (although probably for all the wrong reasons),
Fugazi, Rotundo Sealeg,
Neutral Milk Hotel,
The Mae Shi, The Zombies,
Radiohead...Screaming Females, The Scrapes....some Sufjan Stevens,
Gang of Four (well just those two songs, but whatever), Neutral
Milk Hotel, Shellac,
Neptune...I say that I like King
Crimson, but I never listen to them........
Budowitz..........This list is longer
than my classical stuff, but the classical music really is my true
love.
I love food, and I'm slowly worming my way into the world of
cooking it. I
accidentally turned vegetarian over the summer due to certain
financial issues (being laid off for an extended period of time),
and although I wish I could bring meat back into my world, the
world of everyone else will probably wind up better off if I
didn't.
Growing is good. I'd argue that it's the point.
Bosons.
I spend a lot of time reminding myself that life is now.
"Why is there something instead of nothing?"
So, tonight...erh...Feb. 20, '08, I was watching the lunar eclipse
and I thought to myself "Man, I wonder how many times this happens
when the moon isn't full, and we don't even notice".
If I had the time and the money, I would be so way into the
ARMA.
I sometimes wish that I could sing countertenor like Andreas
Scholl.
