My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I spent my high school years in a little town just south of Green Bay. Then I left for the big bad city (Madison) for college where I quickly became a small fish in a big pond. But I found my calling in nursing/women’s studies. After graduating in 2011, I left for Boston and lived there for 6 months. That city is amazing! But inevitably, I left for bigger adventures…off to the Last Frontier (Alaska). I lived up there for almost 2 years falling deeply in love with the mountains (something WI obviously lacks). After I couldn’t stand being away from my family any longer, I moved back to Madison with a promise to myself to explore this big beautiful world as much as I can, to find the beauty in the things around me and to always push my comfort boundaries. I’ve found when I do these things I find new passions, I’m all around more happy, and I’ve meet some phenomenal people along the way.

I'm independent. However, this does not mean I want to take on the world alone. I want nothing more than to find someone that I not only want but need by my side because life is just better with that person. I don't want to be taken care of because I don't need to be, but I do want someone around who makes me better, loves me completely, and looks forward to growing together.
I am driven, compassionate, snarky, sarcastic, and a good listener. I love to be challenged and to challenge others. I will admit when I'm wrong, which is rarely ;). I am competitive, but a gracious loser. I'm looking for someone who already has themselves pretty much figured out. They love their job or are working towards their dream job. I'm looking for someone with ambition and character that is respectful and honest. I want someone to grow old with, not help them grow up. I'm also realistic. We may go on a few dates and it goes well but the connection just isn't there. Fine, no biggie just be man enough to say it. And I will have the same respect for you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
So recently I have taken up running(5K distances only) and learning guitar (songs I'm working on are Simple man by Lynyrd skynyrd and All of me by John Legend). I am loving my job as nurse at the UW hospital. My little cousins live close by so I spend time with them whenever I can.
I have a new life goal: to visit one national park, one international place, and one new US city every year. This year it will be Yosemite(friend flaked out on me, so went to apostle islands for a week) , Tanzania (went in April), and Vancouver(which I know is Canada, but close enough. Just went at the beginning of August).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm. Trying new things. Reading people. Loving others. My job.
The first things people usually notice about me

I've been described as the two best S words: spunky and snarky!

That I'm cuter in person...not sure that's a compliment.

Music is a HUGE part of my life. I love pretty much all genres except heavy metal or rock. Music--Civil Wars, Ingrid Michaelson, A Fine Frenzy, Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, Florence + The Machine, Passenger, Missy Higgins, The Head and the Heart, Sara Barellies, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, David Nail, Hunter Hayes, Simon ad Garfunkel, Journey, and Fleetwood Mac. Nothing is more sexy than 90s R&B (Tyrese, Ja Rule, Soul 4 Real, Boyz II Men).
I sing ALL the time!

Some new music favorites you should check out if you haven't already: Luke Sital-Singh, Allen Stone, Daughter, and Hozier. Always waiting for the next awesome song or singer I need to know about.

Movies--Contact, Twister, Day After Tomorrow, Armageddon, 10 things I hate about you, Little Women, What Happens in Vegas(Pow you know why!!!). Anything with action or a good thriller. I love explosions!! I love all movies about deadly natural disasters (twisted right?).

Shows--Orange is the New Black, Weeds, Grey's Anatomy, Full House, Big Brother, Parenthood, Rookie Blue, Friends and Firefly.

Books--Divergent, Jane Eyre, Hunger Games series, East of Eden, Harry Potter series (which I just read this year)

Food: Love Indian food (especially sweet naan). Favorite restaurant is Dhaba. Love Angry Orchard and screwdrivers. I've been known to enjoy some whiskey shots from time to time.

Out with friends, at work, at home alone, going for a hike, running/jogging, at the movies, doing life responsibilities. It really depends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm an open book usually. I have a super long tongue and can lick my own nose. Not that I do that often, but its a cool party trick.
