My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a boy who likes words and nerds, though I've been told I really mean dorks. But mainly, I like sweet queer people who have good politics.

Fuck these things:
* Sauerkraut
* you if you can't take a joke
* I hate binary gender but love binary code.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I make things. 3D printers, modified seltzer makers, etc.

For money, I'm part of a radical technology cooperative. Getting it off the ground ate my last four years. I'm looking to be interesting again, and looking for people to do that with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Things that have no productive social value. I'm more interested in taking things apart than in contributing to the GDP.

That said, I have a number of theoretically useful skills. I'm experienced with providing first aid for rubber bullet wounds. I can pick locks. I have two mostly-finished inventions that multiple beta testers have told me I should patent, but they are both a) dangerous to the end user, b) of highly questionable legality, and c) fuck patents. So basically you want me on your heist team.

I like light non-fiction like Dan Ariely or Bill Bryson - like the Discovery Channel, they provide a veneer of educational respectability on what is essentially brain candy. I like my fiction non-challenging - the Game of Thrones series met that requirement for a looong time. I recently read and love "The Night Circus".

Movies include "The House of Yes", mainly for Genevieve Bujold. "Dial M for Murder" in 3-D was also special, and I'm partial to a good heist flick. My two favorite films are definitely "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and "Harold and Maude" though.

According to iTunes, my favorite music includes the Magnetic Fields, Liz Phair, Against Me!, and Dead Prez. Generally you'll find me listening to Irish punk podcasts. Or Spotify's top 100, I'm not fancy.

I don't watch TV, but not because I'm a snob. So if I AM watching TV, I'm catching up on what everyone else was raving about 10 years ago, like "The Wire" or "The Sopranos".

N.B. - If compatibility in media tastes is important to you, I'm probably not the person for you. My brain doesn't work like that.

Peanut sauce, fresh-baked bread, and homemade coconut milk ice cream. Though my favorite food category is undoubtedly sandwiches.

Reading this, the impression I have of me is "different like all the different people". Perhaps accurate, but I'm very happy with who I am.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Blank Scrabble tiles
Tabbed web browsing
Ohm's Law
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Is OKCupid not hiding the "You might also like" area when you're in the messages section because nothing is more in their financial interest than you finding a match and then changing your mind?

My million-dollar ideas that will never make me a million dollars. Like the BedFridge. Or my backdating mail service for late college applications or rent checks. Vitamin-fortified alcohol and cigarettes. The unifying element to my inventions is that they are born of my personal malingering.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
oh god.

Umm...I used to prefer emacs to vim? Really, the closest I get to shame is that at age 22 I was a real estate broker.

You're a member of the Apostrophe Liberation Front, or can at least give some rescued apostrophes new lives as Oxford commas.

You are OK with  Non-monogamous relationships (though at the moment my primary relationship is with myself).

You think the terms "gender normative" and "intersectionality" are obnoxious and elitist yet indispensable nevertheless.

You find awkward dorkiness endearing, and maybe have a touch of it yourself.

OK, where else do you put more keywords?
Words like poly and polyamorous usually bring to mind pagan Renaissance Faire Trekkies. I'm not one of them, thanks for asking.
Feminism is important.
Similarly, I support anarchism but I'm hardly an anarchist. Call me a non-denominational anti-authoritarian.
