My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hmm let's see...where to begin? Well, let's start off with the obvious...I am a complete nerd. When I say nerd, I don't mean "Oh I play Call of Duty and rawg testosterone! Get some!" no, I mean a full fledged nerd. I play many different types of video games (World of Warcraft is on there, but there are so many others that I love to play). My favorite type of video game is an RPG...I am a huge sucker for a good story driven plot with great characters to see. Along with video games, I am also really big into anime/manga and have my own collection that I take a bit of pride in. As far as hobbies go, they all fall under those two categories. And yes, I have been to a convention and I still go to them as well as dress up (cosplay)

Okay, still here? Great! This is where I get a little serious. I went to college in order to become a Music Teacher because teaching and music were two great passions of mine. I spent 2 years as a substitute teacher and one year as an actual teacher, and came to the conclusion that it was not the life style I wanted for myself. This would be a great topic to go into more detail about later, but for now it's just too much text to type out and siphon through. I have sense left the education world, but I maintain my music by performing on my brass instruments in a concert band stationed in Knoxville, TN. Music is still my passion, but it has become more of a hobby than a career path.

So Eric, what career are you pursuing now? Good question! As of right now, I am currently seeking my own path and trying out different things to see what I enjoy more. My direction is currently in desk work or factory work. I love organizing and planning, but I also love to create...so those are my criteria I am searching for. I am currently working tech support for Toyota in Oak Ridge. I troubleshoot websites/computers for Toyota dealers.

As far as lifestyle goes, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I have my ways of going about things and I enjoy what I do. I never regret my choices, even the bad ones. Bad choices are just learning experiences. I live alone with my cat, Sage, who is my little baby and has become more popular with my friends than I have. On a typical day, I'm normally found sitting on my couch and playing video games or watching something on the intarwebs! I am an introvert and definitely enjoy just my peace and quiet alone or with a small group of people. Big social gatherings I can do, but I cannot do them for long.

Am I here for a relationship? Yeah, you could say that. I am mostly here to branch out and meet new people, but if a relationship blossoms from that then all the better. I'm currently happy with my life and being by myself, but I most definitely will not close the door on any possibility of something happening. I enjoy talking with people and keep a very open mind about things. I also like to make people happy, one way or another. One smile from someone makes me feel like I did something important with my day and I can chalk it up as a success! If you want to know more about any of this, feel free to ask...I'm more or less an open book :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
As I mentioned above, right now I'm redirecting my life somewhere that is not education. I loved my work as a teacher and I was very passionate about directing the lives of future generations, but I just hit burn out due to a culmination of many different things.

Other than that, I am mostly just sitting around on my computer with my cat next to me on my couch. I like to get out and about, but I definitely have a people quota that, once met, prohibits me from enjoying huge social gatherings for a bit. I have to enter what I call "People Defrag Mode" so I can come back out and be fine socially.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Supporting those I care about and bringing a smile to their faces. My biggest goal in life is to care for the people that care for me. If I can bring someone a smile, I care little what expense I had to go through to make that happen. One smile is worth one thousand needles (is that a proverb? I think it's a proverb. If not, it's now a proverb).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Normally is my eyes. My eyes are hazel and often jump between green and blue, normally staying in a shade of green.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: Anything comedy or music related. I cannot do horror because I have a very weak constitution. Blood and gore just are not my thing and I cannot sit through it for very long.

Shows: I'm not that big into TV, most of what I watch is on the internet (I actually do not have Netflex...shame Eric shame). Most of what I watch is of the anime variety, but there are some other shows that I enjoy. I've been addicted to Game of Thrones for a while now (Heathen Alert: I have not read the books).

Music: Most of what I listen to is a wide variety (stereotypical saying right here), but it is true. My iTunes is flooded with J-Pop, K-Pop, Techno, 80s music, Classical, Video Game, Metal, and many other styles. My favorite style has to be Instrumental, mostly pertaining to video games, with K-Pop being a close second.

Video Games: Really hard to just talk about my taste in video games, so there, you get a free conversation starter...no charge. Instead, I'll just list some of the video games that stand out to me. Metroid, Zelda, World of Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Sly Cooper, Fire Emblem, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, DDR, Torchlight, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Xenosaga, Pokemon, Megaman, Mario, Osu!, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Bioshock, Borderlands, Portal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Music
2) Family
3) Friends
4) Internet
5) My cat Sage
6) Computer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future. Who will I be with? Where will I end up? What is coming down the road? All of these questions I'd like to see answered.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am normally relaxing at home on a Friday night. I'll often take a Friday night to relax to get ready for my Saturdays, which are normally spent at a friend's house playing Dungeons and Dragons (yup, I just flashed some full frontal nerdity at you with that one)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm scared of swimming in a lake. I have this fear of what I cannot see, and if the lake isn't crystal clear, my mind always wanders to what is below me. It is definitely an irrational fear, but a fear that is present none the less.
