My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! So, you've made it this far have you? Either you found one of my hipster, nerdy pictures intriguing or alluring, or OKC thinks we are the next Abbot and Costello. Either one works for me. Let's hang out, maybe get dinner, and talk about this world and other ones. That's a pretty solid idea when you think about it. First, we'd be meeting each other, and isn't that what this is all about? Maybe we're star-crossed lovers, or bitter arch enemies, or super awesome friends in the making. Who knows? Well, we will, but only if we hang out. Second, we'd be getting dinner, and that's delicious. Third, we can chat about life, the universe, and everything, and I bet you have some great ideas about all that.

That's my self-summary. I could tell you about where I work, what makes me dance (most things), or why invisibility is really better than flying for a superpower, but having given a few of these dates a go, I don't think anything you or I write on here really makes up for saying "hello" and seeing if we like each other's smiles. Whadda ya say?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Such a question! I suppose I'm living it, though that's hardly the answer you wanted. I'm enjoying some time in (around) New York City, having fun with my friends, trying to learn everything there is to know, and making a passable attempt to represent juveniles with the Public Defender's Office. Not that jobs define what we are doing with our lives; it just so happens it takes up a goodly portion of my time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making everyone's day a little more surreal. This isn't always appreciated, but I try not to be deterred.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is normally some random comment that was hopefully amusing or witty, but was likely just out of context and weird. But once we get past that, my winning personality, boyish charm, and good-looks. Or at least that's my aim.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm going to keep this to genres:

Books: Fantasy and Sci Fi, but also well-written non-fiction, like Bill Bryson or Malcolm Gladwell.

Movies: Fun indie comedies, cerebral films, anything by Wes Anderson, though I also have a soft spot for solid RomComs.

Shows: Shows? Like Broadway? Magic shows? Tricks? Illusions, Michael.

Music: 50s and 60s rock is always excellent, but I'll just as soon put on Daft Punk or Bach. Pretty much everything except for hardcore rap or thrash metal. Those two just don't do it for me.

Food: I do the vegetarian/vegan thing (it's very okay if you don't), but once that's covered, pretty much anything. Except beets. Great as a band, disasterous as a food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This question always troubles me, because every time I read stories about people who didn't get the same advantages I did, I feel I could do with much less. But I don't suppose that's very interesting.
1. animals (in general, knowing they exist)
2. a forest to visit on occasion
3. a passport
4. another good book to read
5. imagination (too cheesy? maybe)
6. an adventure
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
things that probably have limited applicaiton in my life, such as zombies, superpowers, why my wardrobe doesn't have a portal in the back, and why maps are never right.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either going out with my friends, visiting my family, checking out some live music, or chilling with a book I can't put down. Often this depends on how much I have left in the tank from the week, but I always try to rally.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think Slytherin gets a bad reputation. We focus on a few particularly henious wizards and witches and we think we know that house, but Snape was a hero and acted out of compassion and love, so how can we say it's all bad?

you think, even for a moment, we might get along, because life is chances and grand adventures, or nothing. I would, however, love to see a message on here saying "We are a terrible match, and I want to argue with everything you stand for. Let's meet." That would be so far past ridiculous, I'd have to go for it.
