I'm a chemist by trade, though I hope one day to write professionally. That or open a bookstore and given the current tablet explosion it is doubtful that a bookstore would be a good investment. Maybe when I retire.
I was born and raised here in Greater NOLA, but I have a desire to move elsewhere. Right now I am working a job with the strangest hours imaginable. It pays the bills and more but makes dating more difficult. Don't be offended if I can't meet up right away if I'm working a lot of 12 hour days in a row.
I wish I was more adventurous and desire to be more motivated, but inertia has always been an issue with me. I suppose I could use a swift kick in the ass now and again. Still, I've lived a life that's full and what's more I've done it my way.

Dunno. I tend to be a bit of a Rorschach test. People see what they want to see. I'm always surprised at how limited the categories are. I am a lot of things and if I start to feel pigeonholed I am likely to shift gears just for the fun of it.

I am a hardcore Bibliophile, with more books than I can count. The best: Heinlein, Cook, Hesse, Wilson, Card, Gaimen Ellison, Milton, Blake, Shakespeare of course, and various non-fiction.
Movies? Harvey, Baron Munchausen, Naked Lunch, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and anything sci-fi.
I am always a few seasons off on shows because I watch online mostly. Fringe currently, and Robot Chicken.
Tom Waits, Frank Sinatra, Ani Difranco, Mushroom Jazz, old school Mettalica, Parliment, etc. my music taste is pretty large but I don't get into much hiphop or country.
Not to picky about food, though I keep a full spice rack for when I'm cooking and love spicy foods.

Not including the basics, I find I am ok going without. I use my laptop a lot. Its always handy to have a good book nearby. Friends and Family. Is that 6?

Working, Sleeping, or out with friends. I enjoy coffee and drinks in places that are not too loud. Nightclubbing is not my thing.

I tend to be shy around women I am attracted to. I always prefer for the lady to make the first move. It is a minor fluke in a person otherwise know for being confident in his abilities.
