I am voracious, sagacious, and loquacious.
My Self-Summary
Who doesn't love self-summaries? Me either. Some of the typical
online-profile cliches that best describe me are laid-back;
easy-going; funny; intelligent; adventurous; and that timeless
pearl of obviousness, someone who loves to laugh. I'm primarily
interested in making friends, but am open to any other possibility
that might arise in the normal course of a relationship. I just
don't happen to have my radar set to "girlfriend," "wife,"
"paramour," or anything so specific at the moment. I like
intelligent, passionate, creative people, and would very much like
to have more of them in my life.
What I’m doing with my life
Slinging used books in a part of town not usually teeming with
readers, looking for that ever-elusive job as a writer/editor, and
spending my free time amongst books, movies, music, and good
friends.
I’m really good at
Several things, but bragging about what I'm good at is definitely
not one of them. But I suppose communication, comprehension, and
being a generally likable fellow who's quick with a quip and fun to
be with are on my top ten of things I don't suck at.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my disarming charm and wit, my inability to speak of
myself with any degree of seriousness.

The six things I could never do without
There aren't many things I couldn't live without, but some of my
favorite things are books, music, my bike, my computer, and
something else, but i can't think of it. But not a cell phone. I've
recently gone without a cell phone and find it very liberating. I
read an article that said that 75% of people said they'd rather
give up sex than give up their cell phone. I guess they're just
into sexting.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The who, the what, the where, the why... the meaning of it all...
food, sex, communication, music, the concept of nonexistence, the
origins of language, that thing over there, and that one guy, you
know the one, he's always walking and talking, always wears a
shirt... the Simpsons.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out to dinner with a friend, or home with my son, whom I have with
me three nights a week, or occasionally at a show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm open to most things, so there's not much that's really private.
You should message me if
You're looking for someone to enjoy a platonic relationship with,
date, go to shows with, listen to records with, or just to chat. I
am open to all types of relationships, and am mostly interested in
meeting new people.
