My self-summary
Why hello, my name is Tanner. A few disclaimers of begin with. I'm awesome. I'm a giant nerd. I'm opinionated. I'm an open minded Atheist (why yes, we do exist). I'm now in Austin preparing to attend the Art Institute.

Obvious flaws aside, I consider myself an intelligent and witty man, my daily life could be described as an entirely impromptu sitcom, and I like it that way.

In my spare time I play video games mainly. Most recently those have included League of Legends, survival horrors such as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Guild Wars 2. Currently I'm on a Borderlands 2 kick. Its glorious.

I love nature and have a great respect for it, especially when it comes to animals. I am definitely a dog person, but I enjoy cats all the same.

I am very artistic and aspire at some point to become a comic book penciler. I'm also a writer and am looking very forward to putting both of my talents to use. In my personal opinion, self expression whether on paper, skin, or through piercings is one of the most attractive things a person can invest in.

So let's game, talk philosophy, or just chat. I'm looking forward to it.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm in preparation to go back to college. I'll be going back for Game Art and Design. I would really like to become a big player in the indie game market as well as a cartoonist. I do love my cartoons.
I’m really good at
I like to think that I'm a talented artist. That includes writing and sketching. I also write the occasional poem, though they are usually quick and ridiculous haikus.
I'm not bad at video games, but I usually play them for the story. I'm not super at PvP like League of Legends yet, but I'm practicing and loving it.
The first things people usually notice about me
First would be my height. I'm around 6'6" tall, though probably closer to 6'5 1/2". Second would be my glasses, as they are big, nerdy and yellow-tinted. And a close second to that would be my beard. It's usually quite luscious.
Another disclaimer here: I'm a big guy. I'm quite proportionate, in my opinion, but I am working on bulking up. As a nerd I want to look like Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hardy at the same time. But with a little fat. Because Jesus.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am a story fiend and read and write a lot. While fantasy or science fiction usually occupy the screen of my Kindle, I also enjoy psychological literature from authors such as Chuck Palahniuk. My favorite book of all time would have to be a Dungeons and Dragons novel from the seemingly endless Forgotten Realms tales called Master of Chains by Jess Lebow.
I am also usually listening to music and even rely on it for inspiration, comfort and support at times. I enjoy most rock, including death metal, but my domain is the much more mellow indie and light rock such as Modest Mouse.
I pretty much hate country, but some could argue that The Civil Wars are country. I say they're good. So. Screw those guys.
I fancy myself quite the visual media critic. I talk a lot during or after movies and watch all of the special features when I actually own a DVD. My favorite movie currently is an indie film with Mike O'Connell, Jim Gaffigan and Jesse Eisenberg called The Living Wake. It's magnificent. My favorite TV show would have to be Parks and Recreation. It's awesome. But I enjoy a lot of television and anime. My favorite anime is Samurai Champloo. I love the detailed art style mixed with the hip hop themes (for the lolz and the artz)
Also. Adventure time. Pen Ward is a genius.
I'm actually a pretty traditional (Texas... ugh) male when it comes to food. Steak over all, then everything else. Although I hate onions and most spicy food, bleh.

Wow, I actually had to cut that down...
The six things I could never do without
I'll skip over the human anatomy when considering this bit. Because you're not interested in the mundane fact that I need sustenance just like any other human being. And come on... I'm more creative than that.
1. I need my computer. My rig is my baby at this point in time and I use it every day. It is my portal to everything, even you, the reader. :)
2. My Smartphone. I am much too curious about everything not to need a browser in my pocket. I probably look up random things on Wikipedia about eighteen times a day. It's not a problem.
3. My car. I'm not a mooch. I hate asking for rides. I like to make money. I need my car. That's pretty much that.
4. My Kindle. This replaced books as it is incredibly convenient. There are only a select few series that I'll read paper back anymore like A Song of Ice and Fire. Apparently the transition to digital wasn't smooth with that one.
5. My family. As much as they can annoy at times, I love my family. They've always been there to support me.
6. My friends. Though I don't have many, they're simply awesome. They really should be included in family. They're always there for me. Some of the smartest and most hilarious people I know.

Oh, and for a not so need but would definitely want during the zombie apocalypse, a bottle of Glenlevit. It's so good.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind works very hard. I seriously think about around eight things at once. These things usually include future plot twists and turns, more to add to my fantasy world, The Lands of Dryd, League of Legends strategies and builds, Dungeons and Dragons (I'm kind of in DnD withdrawal.), Batman, Comics, and theology and philosophy. I'm a busy guy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either drinking (I like it. But it's not a problem), playing video games at home, reading, eating a steak, etc. I also go play Magic: The Gathering on some Fridays, though I am pretty awful at it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm Pansexual. This means that while I am physically attracted to other people, I'm much more attracted to personality. So much so that it's close to exclusive, though not quite.

On a less serious note... I... watch Workaholics. I love it. They're such assholes. But the best thing is that they're entirely insane. It's a simple comedy that I can analyze deeply. And laugh my ass off.
