I was born and raised in California and moved to Boston two years ago for graduate school. I believe in pursing your passion no matter what and that’s exactly what I’m doing. I really enjoy research so I work hard, but I also make time for my other hobbies and interests. I’m definitely a believer in the ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy. People often don’t believe that I go to MIT because I'm always having fun—it’s probably also due to my laid back Californian attitude.
I have a lot of hobbies and am always taking on new ones. Some recent projects include making Greek yogurt, building a home theater system, and brewing cider (still working on this). I’m still a kid at heart; I'm curious about everything and I see things as Lego blocks that I can put together. I enjoy trying new things and live by the motto “I’ll do it if you do it” –and due to this it appears I’ll be bungee jumping off of a hot air balloon sometime soon :)
I’m a relatively outdoorsy person and enjoy hiking and kayaking. I took some ballroom dance classes (swing and salsa) recently and have been trying to get better at that. Over the past year I've really gotten into running and am thinking about doing a half-marathon later this year!
I’m looking for someone special with whom I can share all the crazy/quirky things I do—don’t worry you don’t have to go bungee jumping with me :)
