My self-summary
i recently moved back to silverlake from brooklyn. i'd always had a dysfunctional relationship with LA in the past - we've broken up at least 3 times, each time with me telling all my friends i was done forever, only to be gone for a while, miss it and come crawling back. LA and i were THAT couple, and nobody likes that couple. but with a lot of time and maybe a little couples therapy, i've finally come to accept that i genuinely love LA and am ready to stick with it for good.

the following are several things LA has over new york (no winters is too obvious):
- you don't find many people with bedrooms so small that the door hits the bed when you try to open it
- you don't find many people whose rent-paying situation is the couch in someone's living room
What I’m doing with my life
i edit independent films and have had the good fortune to be a part of a lot of great projects - things you've maybe heard of. i love that i get to tell stories for a living and i'm really passionate about what i do.
I’m really good at
sending grammatically correct and properly spelled text messages. having a photographic memory. packing extremely light for long trips abroad. being far too amused by the boston accent (e.g. "hey maahhk, go paaahk ya caaah in haaahhhvaad yaaaahd.")

i'm apparently also good at okcupid, according to this website:

The six things I could never do without
i'm gonna go ahead and ignore this prompt and answer it how i want by naming a thing i really like:

i love contradictions in people. i think that's what makes folks interesting. one of my favorite contradictions - and one i think/hope i possess myself - is someone who has depth and intelligence without taking themselves too seriously, and is irreverent and funny without avoiding the deeper questions in life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how, despite all the huge upgrades in convenience, i think we're worse off having so much technology in our lives. seriously, i'd talk about this all day long if people seemed more interested in hearing about it. and then i'd stop getting invited to parties because i'd be "that guy who can't stop talking about the pitfalls of technology."
On a typical Friday night I am
hopefully at a dance party somewhere. i'll be honest with you: i'm pretty good at dance parties.
