My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I write so often about other people, it's difficult to do it about myself, but I would say I'm a fairly easy-going, open guy with an intense love of all things weird and wonderful. I tend to get restless when I'm stuck in one place for too long, and have had some of my best (and worst) experiences in hemispheres other than my own. I've been told I'm a sensitive dude but still enjoy the more "bro-y" things in life, like sports, deli meats and video games. Speaking of which, my ideal mate would be a girl unafraid to be seen in public with mustard on her face, who could kick ass on the PlayStation and would be willing to engage in the eternal debate of Biggie vs. Tupac.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a news and culture reporter for a newspaper in beautiful Whistler, BC. It's the first job I've ever had that really feels worth doing, despite the long hours and crappy pay. I try to be creative whenever I can, whether that means writing, improv or my ill-advised foray into stand-up comedy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rock, paper, scissors. Just try me.
But seriously, I've been told I'm really good at fostering and maintaining relationships with the people I care about. I'm a pretty good listener and like to think I actually give a care about the people around me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My epic beard, but trust me, I'm more than just a fuzzy face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

This list is constantly evolving, but I can safely say Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad are probably my favourite shows of all time. I realize that's not very original, but cmon, they're considered great for a reason.
I will pretty much eat any kind of food you put in front of me, but I'm a sucker for Thai, Korean and Carribbean food.
My favourite book of all time is probably Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas just because I read it at an impressionable time in my life and it's probably what led me to journalism.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, both new and old; spicy food; hip-hop; the ability to travel; Louis C.K. and as much as I hate to admit it, the Internet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sandwiches. I'm not kidding. Different bread and meat combinations, the perfect condiment ratio, should you slice diagonally or horizontally? These are all questions that have, and will continue to plague me for some time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes drunk-Quickmatch. I regret nothing.

You like discussing the pros and cons of various types of cheese, and think The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was the greatest thing to ever happen to television, nay, mankind.
