I am philanthropic, philosophical, and metaphysical.

My Self-Summary

I am an artist (comics, music, et al). I didn't mean to acquire so many artist stereotypes along the way (creative facial hair, fatal curiosity, soul power), but life makes more sense now than ever before, so I won't fight it.

I want to mate with San Francisco, this foxy town has shown me the best years of my life. The good thing is that I am young and more in control of things than the previous years of my life, so things are only poised to get better. True, everyone says this, but I am not everyone.

Yes, things really seem to be clicking and progressing these days. Life is turning out to be a motherfucker. But not just any motherfucker. The best motherfucker a motherfucker can be.

What I’m doing with my life

Continuing the frequently-ugly transformation from productive member of society to artist. I work a job I disassociate myself with to pay the bills and to stay tangentially connected to people.

My bread & butter, however, is my art. It's been the way I've understood reality since I was a tiny child. It defines my days.

At night I am alive. Or asleep. Rarely neither. Frequently both.

I’m really good at

many things, but I'm average at many more things. I'm very bad at the majority of things, but to be fair I haven't tried very much yet. It's a gigantic world out there, contrary to phrases that assert it's a small world.

I don't want to toot my own horn, I'll have to mark this box "no solution."

The first things people usually notice about me

People always seem to think I'm shorter than I am in real life, but this is only because I'm incredibly tall and handsome in real life. I actually doctor down my photos to make me homelier than in reality, so as not to have people think I doctored my photos to make myself appear handsome.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Authors: Dave Eggers, Hunter S. Thompson, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Kurt Vonnegut, Richard Dawkins, Murakami, etc plus (I read like a gangster). I also find the subjects of linguistics and etymology mega-interesting.

Music: Stevie Wonder, Neutral Milk Hotel, Ween, Spacemen 3, Bob Dylan, New Order, Animal Collective, Allman Brothers Band, Frank Zappa, and anything with soul in it, in any capacity.

Movies: Charlie Kaufman, Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Guy Maddin, cheesy awful stuff, . Also, that documentary about the two guys who play Donkey Kong was fantastic. I'm pretty big on documentaries in general these days, actually. Jeez, how staid. I probably already bear a striking resemblance to my 60-year-old self.

Food: Mexican food, probably. It's realistically one of the only connections I have to my roots & culture. Luckily it's also fantastic. Thai also. Everything else also also.

The six things I could never do without

These extra simple questions are the hardest ones to answer. I will say, though, if I didn't have music I'd throw myself into traffic.

On a typical Friday night I am

Unaware it's Friday night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I shot a man in Reno with insulin, just to watch him live.

You should message me if

it compels you, I guess. I'm probably better than the other dudes on this site, that's for certain. Sure they may have more money, but money can't satisfy you sexually or emotionally. We can break bread over a pipe and soak up the town and its many crunk interiors.
