My self-summary
Not as new to town as I once was, been here since March 2013 but still feel like I've only scratched the surface of exploring this town. I came here by way of VA - I do so miss the mountains. If you'd like to meet up and grab a drink or go exploring around town, I am game, especially seeing as I moved here leaving all of my friends behind and knowing not a soul. Operation, convince all of my friends to move to Austin has begun by the way.

I am a lot of things to a lot of different people, you should form your own opinion. Although some familiar themes are smart ass, sarcastic, beardy/hairy, goofy, clumsy, funny. I am most definitely still a big kid at heart.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to crack the code for the lottery so I can live out the rest of my days doing whatever I want. But to be honest, still just trying to figure it all out. I wish I could say I had an amazing career with a nice big house and all the trimmings but life is messier than that and I'm just trying to make it all work. Trying to have a damned good time while I do so too.
I’m really good at
Being absurd, taking conversations over the line, cooking, growing hair, making bad puns, remembering and singing theme songs from the cartoons from my childhood (seriously, for some reason, my brain still remembers all the words to waay too many theme songs like Duck Tales, Chip N Dales Rescue Rangers, Gummy Bears {which apparently nobody watched but me}. That brain space should probably be used for something more pertinent but it's also quite fun occasionally when walking around drunk, belting out into childhood cartoon themes, or maybe that's just me).
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard or perhaps they heard me first which in case, my voice. It's not weird or anything, it just projects.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything Seussical, Ishmael, Where the Sidewalk Ends, American Gods, Anything that allows me to choose my own adventure (here's a hint, if there's ever a bear cave available to go into, you should pass, there always seems to be a damned bear inside said cave, go figure. Oh and it's not the good type of bear....no pic-a-nic baskets to be found).

Music is all over the place and just depends on the mood. Some current favorites are Alt-J, Wild Child and Holiday Mountain. The older I get the more I am loving banjo in my music though. Spotify is amazing.

As far as Tv, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is probably like my favorite show of all time but The Wonder Years is a close second. I also love Community, Modern Family, American Horror Story is really good, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice (although this show makes me want to do illegal things all the time), Top Chef and more I can't recall right now.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about.

Sometimes, when I am listening to a song or watching a movie or something of that nature and it makes me remember a specific time in my life where I was doing that same thing, I close my eyes and think real hard about that time, hoping I will actually be transported back to that moment. I'm sad to report, it hasn't worked yet.

What I'm supposed to be turning down for.

Why there are so many women out there who literally can't even. When did this struggle start and why is it just now being brought to light?
On a typical Friday night I am
Searching for that damned doorway to Narnia, it's quite illusive.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think children are unsound financial investments.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You feel so inclined, want to show me your favorite bar/restaurant/spot in the city, or just looking for a new friend, especially if you like doing outdoorsy things).

Also, if you think checking out The Easterns' 40 and a film night sounds like a great time. Or if you work weird service industry hours like I currently do.
