My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The four things that I value most in life are honesty, intelligence (in all its forms -especially logic, creativity, and humor), continual improvement, and passion.

I honestly think that list would be a lot better if it included something related to how much I love being a goof, but those four just seem to be part of everything I say and do =P

Things that define my life:
-TED talks
-Ron Swanson
-Boolean logic
-Boggle
-Possibilities
-Protein
-Caffeine
-Puns
-Andrew Ryan
-Fuzzy blankets
-Microphones
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I was 12 years old I built my first computer. I loved the graphics card I had chosen for that computer so much that I've been buying that same company's cards ever since. Those chunks of hardware have never ceased to impress me and enabled some of the most fun moments in my life. So of course when it came time to join the workforce there was really only one job I was interested in. It was in fact the only interview I scheduled, and wouldn't ya know it- they turned me down and I had to resort to becoming a male stripper.

Yeah, no =) -I've been working at that company making graphics cards for three years now. I guess you could say I'm pretty good at turning my dreams into a reality... in fact that's probably why I love my job so much. Technology is all about dreaming of a better future and figuring out how to implement it. There are very few things in the world that make me happier than that moment when you first get to experience your dream coming to life- when you get to see the problem actually stop being a problem or somebody out of nowhere tells you how much your creation has helped them. I just love that sense of purpose.

Don't go thinkin' I'm some kinda crazed workaholic though- I've been pretty good about walking away after my 8-9 hours and finding some balance through other activities. I recently developed a passion for both indoor rock climbing and playing bass guitar, and I'm always down for just chilling with some good, solid people (liquid people are ok too, gaseous people get on my nerves though). Karaoke bars hold a special place in my heart, wineries are cool, and I own a fairly legit sleeping bag that I wouldn't mind putting to use more often. But really I think most of my life's balance just comes from consuming modern arts- all those favorite things listed below.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Creating Stuff
Figuring-Out Stuff
Wondering Stuff
Stuffing stuff with other stuff?

Being cautiously optimistic, solving problems, turning my ideas into a reality, and being a nerd (that one probably goes without saying by now).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Games (I'm such a rebel): Boggle, Pinochle, Connect-4, Braid, Bioshock, Portal. Games are a huge part of human existence and I hate how often they're trivialized or viewed as juvenile.

Movies: Fight Club, The Fifth Element, The Princess Bride, The Prestige, Office Space, Star Wars (IV->VI), and just about any comedy or horror film that had thought put into it

TV: Parks and Rec, South Park, Party Down, Doctor Who, New Girl, Archer, Adventure Time, 30 rock, Dexter.

Music: Led Zeppelin, Coheed and Cambria, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Muse, Atreyu, Prodigy, Taylor Swift, Tenacious D, Kamelot, Macklemore, Taking Back Sunday, Rob Zombie, No Doubt. I have absolutely no clue what common element all of these share, but I love thinking about what that might be. [In my most hoity-toity voice:] I'm also rather fond of the impressionist era (Debussy and Ravel) ...and blast DMX more often than I'll ever admit.

Books (oh man, AND I went out-of-order?!?): Non-fiction; mostly new positive psychology-related works that are sprinkled with humor and help me see the world in a new light (Jane McGonigal is my hero). I'm not so sure that's a good indicator of my personality though. Pretty much everybody I surround myself with likes fiction and thinks I should as well.

Food: Almonds, strawberries, granola, quinoa, whey protein, and anything with enough greasy red meat to balance-out all that healthy crap.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My pet jackalope
2) A #2 pencil
3) The planet Pluto
4) The California DMV
5) Spray tan
6) Wishing for more wishes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything.
It's a problem.
Which I am now thinking about how to solve.

...dang it =)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Can't say I'm normally a huge fan of bars, but lately I've been having a grand ol time playing darts / foosball with the aforementioned solid people. It's also dangerous to put me into a karaoke room with a couple drinks- I will be unable to speak for days and you may be unable to hear for days (and/or wish you didn't have ears). All that said, I probably have a slight preference for relaxing on couches with a movie and something less cheap & hangover-prone to drink.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are:
Sweet, silly, super snuggly, surprisingly smart, strong-willed, sincere, sometimes singing, sexy, somewhat sassy, single, seeing something strangely serendipitous shaping-up, and blonde
(that last one is clearly not as important =P).
