My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The four things that I value most in life are honesty, intelligence (in all its forms -especially logic, creativity, and humor), continual improvement, and passion.

I honestly think that list would be a lot better if it included something related to how much I love being a goof, but those four just seem to be part of everything I say and do =P

Things that define my life:
-TED talks
-Boolean logic
-Andrew Ryan
-Fuzzy blankets

INTP by day, INFP by night.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I was 12 years old I built my first computer. I loved the graphics card I had chosen for that computer so much that I've been buying that same company's cards ever since. Those chunks of hardware have never ceased to impress me and enabled some of the most fun moments in my life. So of course when it came time to join the workforce there was really only one job I was interested in. It was in fact the only interview I scheduled, and wouldn't ya know it- they turned me down and I had to resort to becoming a male stripper.

Yeah, no =) -I've been working at that company making graphics cards for over four years now. I guess you could say I'm pretty good at turning my dreams into a reality... in fact that's probably why I love my job so much. Technology is all about dreaming of a better future and figuring out how to implement it. There are very few things in the world that make me happier than that moment when you first get to experience your dream coming to life- when you get to see the problem actually stop being a problem or somebody out of nowhere tells you how much your creation has helped them. I just love that sense of purpose.

Don't go thinking I'm some kinda crazed workaholic though- I've been pretty good about walking away after my 8-9 hours and finding some balance through other activities. Somewhere along the way I developed a passion for both indoor rock climbing and playing bass guitar, and I'm always down for just chilling with some good, solid people (liquid people are ok too, gaseous people get on my nerves though).

I just moved to the Madison area after years of feeling slightly out-of-place in California, and have no clue what I've gotten myself into. But I'm looking-forward to figuring that out!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Creating Stuff
Figuring-Out Stuff
Wondering Stuff
Stuffing stuff with other stuff?

Honestly though, anything at all that I need to be good at in order to follow-through on my passions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Games (I'm such a rebel): Boggle, Pinochle, Cards Against Humanity, Braid, Bioshock, Portal. Games are a huge part of human existence and I hate how often they're trivialized or viewed as juvenile.

Movies: Fight Club, The Fifth Element, The Princess Bride, The Prestige, Office Space, Star Wars (IV->VI), and just about any comedy or horror film that had thought put into it

TV: Parks and Rec, Doctor Who, South Park, Party Down, New Girl, 30 Rock, Kimmy Schmidt

Music: Led Zeppelin, Coheed and Cambria, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Muse, Atreyu, Prodigy, Taylor Swift, Tenacious D, Kamelot, Macklemore, Taking Back Sunday, Rob Zombie, No Doubt. I have absolutely no clue what common element all of these share, but I love thinking about what that might be. [In my most hoity-toity voice:] I'm also rather fond of the impressionist era (Debussy and Ravel)

...and blast DMX more often than I'll ever admit.

Books (oh man, AND I went out-of-order?!?): Non-fiction; mostly new positive psychology-related books that are sprinkled with humor and help me see the world in a new light (Jane McGonigal is my hero). I'm not so sure that's a good indicator of my personality though. Every single person I have surrounded myself with likes reading fiction and thinks I should as well.

Food: Almonds, strawberries, granola, quinoa, whey protein, and anything with enough greasy red meat to balance-out all that healthy crap.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
It's a problem.
Which I am now thinking about how to solve.

...dang it =)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Talking with people that I like. There's really no other constant than that. The noise in a lot of bars makes that difficult to do so they're not usually my first choice, but I still find myself in one on plenty of occasions. I must be old or something, because the stereotypical couples night with classy(ish) booze and board games is honestly where I'm most comfortable. Granted most couples I know drink enough to sink a ship no matter where we are, but at least you can actually hear & laugh about your friends' ridiculous drunken thoughts if you're all sitting around a table in someone's house.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are:
Sweet, seriously silly, super snuggly, surprisingly smart, strong-willed, sincere, sometimes singing, sexy, somewhat sassy, single, seeing something strangely serendipitous shaping-up, and blonde
(honestly though, that last one is not as important =P).
