A good friend once told me that I'm a combination of all the
characters on 'Parks and Recreation'. That's a good place to start.
What I’m doing with my life
Monday - Friday, I do marketing / account management work at an accounting firm. It's interesting and I learn something new every day.
Saturday and Sunday are a bit more of a toss up and can include: a party, drinks, 'culture', exploring, traveling, eating, reading, karaoke or slothing around Astoria.
On here to meet a nice, funny guy (with all his ducks in a row...) to date. Side note-if you actually have ducks and line them up for me, this is basically a done deal (But how are you keeping ducks in the city?!)
I’m really good at
Talking to people, cheering people up/making people laugh, making cards, taking power naps, making omelettes, formatting things in MS word, identifying what things smell like and taste like ('this beer tastes like licking a grill' - it did), planning/executing themed parties/food crawls/other organized group activities...probably some other stuff, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I was once told by a stranger that I had a 'sweet face...no
really...you can't replicate the kind of sweetness that's in your
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: 'Cat's Cradle' (Vonnegut fan in general), 'The Little Prince', 'Gilead' and obviously !Harry Potter! I'm usually reading something though, so just ask if you're curious.
Movies: I really don't watch as many movies as I should/could, but here are some titles that come to mind: 'When Harry Met Sally', 'Eternal Sunshine', 'The Big Lebowski', 'Little Miss Sunshine', 'As Good As It Gets'. Also just saw 'Sisters' and LOVED it.
Music: I may or may not listen to the following musicians - Beyoncé, JT, Jay, Kanye, Tay. But then, I also used to like punk music. But now, I also sort of like country and top 40.
Food: I've been seeing a lot of "I run because I love to eat" tshirts out there and I'd say that's me in a nutshell. I love trying new foods and am experimenting more with my cooking. Kind of.
TV: After a delayed start, 'Friday Night Lights' is my favorite TV show (and I don't even like sports, really). Also, 'Parks & Recreaction', 'Breaking Bad'. Various 'Real Housewives' shows (sorry I'm not sorry). Just caught up on 'Mad Men' and maybe, just maybe, I'll finish 'The West Wing' one of these days.
The six things I could never do without
Cheese, sunshine, naps, a book to read and two other things that don't make me sound like a small child.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life goals. Funny things. People I know. People I'd like to know. Places I'd like to go. Things that have happened. Things that are going to happen. Things I'd like to do. Things I 'should' be doing. Song lyrics. Dance moves. Food. Books.
On a typical Friday night I am
Should involve any of the following: dinner, drinks, friends,
relaxing, tv and some tasty food.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know a fair amount of One Direction songs.
You should message me if
