I am different, sweet, and caring.

My Self-Summary

I DO NOT RESPOND TO WINKS! Clearly, my whole profile is not being read because I keep getting winks. Thought I'd put that at the top of my profile as well as the bottom. With that being said...

I'm pretty laid back most of the time. Quiet and a little shy at first unless you're someone I instantly feel comfortable around. I have a great sense of humor (a bit nutty at times, but I think it's good...I like me this way) and can be a bit blunt at times (but not unkind).

What I’m doing with my life

Well, right now I'm working as a legal assistant and going to school to become a court reporter. I also have taken the real estate classes and can get my license as soon as I pass the test.

I’m really good at

I play piano very well. I've been playing for 18 years. I'm also really good at working with any animals but cats. Cats and I don't get along very well most of the time.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not really sure. Most people don't walk up to me and say, "Hey, the first thing I noticed about you is..." So if we're talking about appearance, I'm thinking the first thing people notice is my eyes because I get a lot of remarks on them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love to read. I don't have a favorite book, but some of the authors I read are Stephen King, Michael Crichton, Janet Evanovich, Terry Goodkind, R.A. Salvatore, John Saul, some Dean Koontz, and the list goes on. I really like the Harry Potter books too. I wasn't one of the freaks who waited in line for the book and was dressed in a witch's hat and robes though. I kinda wish I had a magic wand though. That would rock!

I'm not a big movie person, so I don't have a lot of favorites. I really, really like Billy Elliott. I like The Princess Bride too. Seems a lot of people on here like that movie. I watch a little TV. I'm slightly addicted to Legend of the Seeker (don't laugh). I think I'm secretly a sci-fi/fantasy nerd. Guess it's not a secret now. :)

I could go on forever about all the music I like. It's such a wide range. I play piano, so I love classical because it's the most challenging to play. I like bands like Alice in Chains, Staind, Tonic, Theory of a Deadman, Blind Melon, Foo Fighter, The Fray, Saving Able, 3 Doors Down, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and so many more. I really think Alice in Chains is my favorite. At least, they have been for a couple of years.

And favorite food... It'd be easier to tell you what I don't like, and that's Thai. Greek food is good. And Japanese. Nothing spicey. I like sour and even bitter. Could it be the German in me?

The six things I could never do without

1. My little boy. He's 4 and he's the world to me.

2. My snakes. I have 2, a red-tail boa, Clive, and an Irian Jaya Carpet Python, Moby. I know liking snakes is odd to some, but someone has to like them, right?

3. Make-up - not because I feel that I need it, but because I just love playing with it and wearing fun colors. However, I'm just as comfortable without it and sometimes don't wear any at all. I guess that means it's not something I couldn't do without, huh?

4. My mom.

5. Books. Reading is a necessity for me.

6. A sense of humor. The stupidest things happen to me, and if I couldn't laugh it off, I'd be pretty miserable and probably insane.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

everything.

On a typical Friday night I am

Sadly, I'm usually home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That would be that I'm secretly a sci-fi/fantasy nerd. But since I already told you that in the book section, it's not so private now, is it?

You should message me if

you're a really (and I mean really) sweet guy no older than around 34. I like men who are thoughtful and considerate and caring. I want to meet a guy who's willing to put as much effort and work into a relationship as I am. I want someone who will be there for me just as I would for him.

Most guys don't seem to want to date a single mom, and I'm a bit confused about that. Just because we're moms doesn't mean we can't love and devote time to someone special. If you've never dated a single mom before, give it a try. It's not like we take our kids everywhere with us. :)

One more thing - if you find yourself at a bar or club or whatever several times a week or even every weekend, I'm probably not the one for you. Drinking's fine every now and then, but it shouldn't take up a huge part of your life and you shouldn't need it to have fun. I'm also not interested in smokers. Sorry if that's harsh, but my son has asthma and can't be around it. I also smoked for 7 years and quit when I got pregnant. It would be very hard for me to be with a smoker and not start back up again. I stay away from the temptation.

If you decide to send me a message, I do NOT respond to emails that are one or two sentences long and tell me pretty much nothing about yourself. I also don't respond to flirting or winks. You MUST have a clear pictures so I don't have to guess what you look like.
