I am Diogenes, Ozymandias, and Fucking Amazing.
My Self-Summary
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
-Shelley, Ozymandias
An excerpt from one of my absolute favorite poems. It essentially
sums up the human condition: Misuse of power leading to the
eventual downfall of seemingly unbreakable empires. In this case
one of the few surviving artifacts is a massive statue of Ramesses
II, broken and worn, a thing that made a man's heart, a sculptor,
happy.
Alone the statue stands, surrounded by decaying land, almost as a
mockery of Ramesses' claim. Nothing but a god of sand. A king of
desolation. It seems almost as a grim warning of the chances of the
longterm survivability of civilizations. Afterall, the Egyptian,
the Aztec, the Roman, the Zulu, even the mighty Persian Empires all
fell. So shall we.
I tend to look at the world as a joke much of the time, like a huge
black comedy. The state of politics, the laws and legislation in
place, and what we fight over as a species is laughable.
This last election for instance, most people were emphasizing gay
marriage, to the point that it eclipsed issues concerning the
economy. In school we are taught that in order to have a successful
life we need to go to college, but why is it that most people don't
know the difference between a stock or bond, or why most people
don't know why 'preferred stocks' are preferred? Why is it we learn
almost nothing about how to truly handle our money? Something so
common, and literally essential to our survival as adults.
It is my belief that when factors essential for our long term
happiness, prosperity, and survival are not generally understood,
or deliberately withheld from the mass populace, societal
deterioration is inevitable.
Outdated philosophies, lopsided thinking/ propaganda, lack of
understanding, fear, schoolboy heroics, blood wars, what fallible
man percieves as what "God" wants (because he apparently isn't
capable of doing it himself), and the 'need' for control, will
likely end up being our downfall. Ask if you'd like for me to
eloborate further.
Truthfully, I am not nearly so bleak, most of the time. I was
reading Ozymandias and this little profile thing became a conduit
of my meanderings. Now that you've been in my head a bit, i'll
allow you to peer a bit further within.
Here are a few things that I love: I love to meditate, eat good
food, drink good wine, laugh, sit around with a good book, enjoy my
surroundings, enjoy my own company, relax, make love, drink scotch,
cuddle, work out, watch movies, philosophize, smoke hooka, go on
adventures, play video games, have time to myself, indulge in good
music, read comic books, experience new things, have good
conversations, and partake in crude humor.
I am a history buff, love live theatre, love opera, live music
shows, and love to cook.
A few of my achievements/ life experiences include: I am a two time
honorary doctor in the fields of Divinity and Metaphysics, I've
traversed over about half of the world, I am a black belt in Tae
Kwon Do, I worked for the Humane Society to get prop 2 passed, I am
a Veteran of the Navy, a Feminist, an Artist (sculpting, painting,
drawing, and a bit of writing), I am a former Christian Reverend of
Rose Ministries, a gay rights activist, a Transhumanist, and i am
also an armchair Philosopher, Ghost hunter, and Cryptozoologist.
This is all before the age of 25.
I love Philosophy, and can (and will) spend long amounts of time of
debating various topics with whomever to which I may be
speaking.
That said, I love debating topics that people find uncomfortable,
such as provoking people to defend their views on the world,
abortion, religion, war, politics, etc. It is my belief that when
you do this you glympse the person hidden under the mask, this
serves to allow you to understand them. Subsequentially you are
able to make a more informed choice pertaining to if you want to
invest time into this person.
A bit off, but if you know who Diogenes is, you already rock my
socks off.
I love the outdoors, the beach is one of my favorite places to go,
very few times in one's life can one be in a state of literally
zero negativity, being in nature, being in tune with nature, does
this for me.
Honestly I want nothing more than to keep learning, come to some
conclusion as to what it is to be in tune with nature, keep
thinking, continue loving my life, and keep people laughing.
On that note, please note that I am here to meet new people and
make some new friends, if dating comes with it, a wonderful plus,
but I am not actively trying to find some great romance. If I
happen to find someone who really stops me in my tracks, I'll let
you know.
I am more looking for someone who might like to go wine tasting, or
smoke some hookah, mock the world and all it's fallacy, and
converse.
Morons, people who type (or speak) 'lyk dis', or druggies, need not
apply.
What I’m doing with my life
I am studying history and philosophy at San Diego City College, and
am also enrolled at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and plan
to become a masseuse and get my Doctorate in Traditional Chinese
Medicine. I am also working on becoming a personal trainer.
After Pacific College, I am going to move to Sedona AZ for a while,
learn a few more things dealing with spiritual/ alternative
healing, primarily Aryuvedic Medicine, perhaps serendipity will be
kind to me, I will probably move to New Zealand afterwards.
From there I plan on learning Mau Taiaha, and opening up an
alternative medicine clinic specializing in massage/ accupressure,
and martial arts studio. Then I shall try to find a meaningful, if
not quiet existence. Travelling the world in my spare time.
I’m really good at
Making horrible, sometimes extremely elaborate, insults, making
people laugh, asking bizzare questions seriously (such as: If you
woke up and you were a minotaur, what would you do?), being
eloquent, being a walking clash of views, and making up fun things
to do.
People have told me that I'm easy to talk to as well. I also tend
to be very talkative, though entertaining.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my laugh, and my sense of humor.
That and my hat...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Comic books, Religious texts, The Alphabet of Manliness,
History books, Robert Kyosaki books, Donald Trump books, Hermann
Hesse, John Gardner (Grendel is outstanding), Dean Koontz, Piers
Anthony, Terry Brooks, Scientific Ufology, Black Holes and Baby
Universes, New Age texts, Jim Butcher.
Movies: The Terminator Series excluding the 3rd movie, Hancock,
Watchmen, Hard candy, Requeim for a Dream, I Love You Man, 80's
Movies, Unbreakable, The Last Samurai, Punisher, Star Wars, Ghost,
Memoirs of a Geisha, Chocolat, Star Trek, Sci Fi movies, Star Gate,
Horror Movies, Movies where the people act in the same manner as
what an actual human being would given the same situation/
circumstances.
Music: Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Thrice, Retard-o-bot, Uncle
Outrage, The Verve, Placebo, Bad Religion, Sacred Spirits, Linkin
Park, A Flock of Seagulls, Echo and the Bunnymen, Lil' Wayne, Bush,

Church, Incubus, Flogging Molly, Thursday, Sum 41, Oingo Boingo,
Bjork, NIN, A Perfect Circle, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Moby, Darude,
NEK, M.I.A, The Casualties, Brad Paisley, Anti-Flag, Nickelback,
Bon Jovi, Weezer, Tupac, A Perfect Circle, American Hi-Fi,
Greenday, Enya, Enigma, Massive Attack, etc, etc...
Food: I have had a love affair with different cuisines for a long
time now, Indian food is my favorite, followed and sometimes
surpassed by Persian food, Sushi is fantastic as well, Chinese,
Ethiopian, Arabian, Mexican, essentially anything that doesn't have
habenero peppers, as I tend to be super allergic to them.
The six things I could never do without
My Cat, Rajah. As a rule, I don't like cats. I also don't like Cats
the Musical. I think I would rather have colon cancer then sit
through that piece of shit ever again. That said, my cat is
awesome, he acts like a dog and is covered in scars, he is
incredibly large and fights coyotes, he found me while he was a
stray, so though he spends most of his time indoors, he spends at
least a few hours a day outside, I love him, he is a true
character.
Music. I think I would drive myself insane if I didn't have a bit
of music.
My Mind... I do believe I would be lost without it...
The Truth. Living a lie is absurd and frankly blows, blows like the
Bush-Cheney administration, or Monica Lewinsky.
The Pursuit of Happiness. Hopelessness is an absolute bummer, it
serves no one, and usually drags the people around it down as well.
No me gusta Emo.
Mental Stimulation. I think this is a real need for me, like Maslow
status. I cannot stand people who do not question their
surroundings, or even look at things from a multi-faceted
viewpoint. I would rather have no lower torso then be an idiot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy,
Transhumanism, Fiction, My place
in relation to things that have passed and things yet to come, Our
Posthuman future, Love, Money, Sex, Peace, The beach,
Religions/cults, Martial Arts, The absurdity of it all, Politics,
Swimming, History,
Lu
Bu, WoW, Random Information, Comic Books, and
D&D, and like Billy Mays
says: much, much, more.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, studying, hanging out with friends, swimming, relaxing,
partying, smoking hooka, going on adventures to random locations,
etc, etc,....
It is a Friday to Friday basis, no real set plan.
That or saving the world. Donnie Darko style...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have insomnia, and I overdress for things. I also have a huge
memory for trivia. My best friend once called me 'The master and
holder of all useless information.' This tends to make my
conversations somewhat akin to a Family Guy episode, that is we
might start talking about politics and end up talking about
X-men, or ghosts,
or movies, or evolution, or dinosaurs...
I also can bleet like a goat or sheep with startling realism. I
think it's my Persian blood, if you have seen the movie 'The 300'
then you should be well aware that we, Persians I mean, had
monsters and
goat-men. we also wore burkas, or head wraps,
and Shah Xerxes was 9 feet tall and dressed like an androgenous
Pharoah.
The 300 was a documentary. True to a tee.
I am also brutally honest. I simply feel that I would prefer
someone be honest to me, so I will do that for them. That being
said I still have empathy and tact.
You should message me if
You aren't a lying sack of crap,
You consider yourself to be intellectual,
You are off kilter,
You don't mind offensive humor,
You're dead sexy, like Fat Bastard,
You find me dead sexy,
Or simply if you want to.
