My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm caring, easy going, and very open-minded. I'm non-judgemental, and I can get along with just about anyone. I can have fun doing just about anything, going out or staying in, both have their advantages. I'm always up for whatever, but can be indecisive due to being cool with anything.

I highly value honesty, being understanding of others, and open upfront communication. I'm also an open book and enjoy answering questions, so if you want to know anything, feel free to ask away, no topic is off limits.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I grew up in the U.P., graduated from Michigan Tech in the spring of 2003 with a BS in CS (Computer Science), and since then I've been in the Ann Arbor area and have fallen in love with it. I'm a Sr. Software Engineer and I've worked at the same company for almost 10 years now. I recently bought a house that I eventually plan on doing tons with, and hopefully this will be the last time I move for a LONG time (I really hate moving).

Other than that I'm just trying to have fun with my free time, live in the moment, and enjoy life to the fullest. Always looking for new people to share it with.

I'm an independent person with a fairly busy life that keeps me happy and content. I'm not looking for someone to "complete" me, but it would be nice if I could find someone equally "whole" on her own to enhance and share moments of this crazy wonderful thing called life with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Anything to do with computers, technology, or video games.
- I rock at the drums on Rock Band.
- I have a photographic memory.
- I'm very logical.
- I have a green thumb and have tons of house plants.
- I'm told I give great hugs and I like cuddling.
- I'm a good listener, am understanding, and nothing upsets me.
- I'm very empathetic and generally make people feel comfortable.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure... physically probably my bright blue eyes, that I look very young for my age, or that I'm always smiling. Otherwise maybe that I'm a little shy or quiet until I get to know people better. I have a hard time thinking of things to say out of the blue and am more of a listener, but if you ask me questions you can get me talking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
I try to read a bit before bed every night. I mainly read sci-fi/fantasy books. Right now I'm reading through the Wheel of Time series in anticipation of the last book finally being released soon. After that I'll probably pick up either the Harry Potter books or A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Movies:
I love movies. Netflix is seriously like my best friend. It's pretty hard to pick any favorites because I tend to like all kinds and its very rare that I actually dislike a movie. I usually find at least some entertainment from them no matter how bad they are. If I had to name a few favorites: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Matrix, Avatar, Independence Day, Finding Nemo (or any Pixar movie for that matter), Inception, Butterfly Effect, Memento (or anything mind-bending or with at twist), 40 Year Old Virgin, Dogma (or any Kevin Smith movie), ... the list goes on.

TV:
I don't watch normal TV at all, can't stand the commercials, but I do catch up on shows via Netflix. I've been watching Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother recently.

Music:
I'll listen to just about anything and can appreciate most genres on some level. By far Rock would be my favorite though (all types from the classic rock I grew up with via my parents, to more modern hard rock). I love music and if I'm in my car I'm definitely singing along. Some current fav bands: 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, Default, Disturbed, Hoobastank, Linkin Park, Metallica, Offspring, Puddle of Mudd, Rise Against, Seether, Shinedown, Staind, Tantric, Three Days Grace. If I tried to list fav classic rock bands the list would be way too long, and don't even try to ask me what my fav song is, that's impossible.

Food:
I eat pretty much anything. Any kind of fast food is fine by me, or italian, chinese, mexican, american, sushi, whatever. If I haven't tried it, I'm very interested in trying it. I even like vegetarian/vegan food and admire people who have the dedication to live like that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This question is kind of silly. I understand its intention, in which case I should say something like: Computers/internet, video games, cell phone, movies, music, and my car. But I CAN definitely go without those things if need be.

Of course some more obvious literal answers would be: food, water, air, gravity, the earth, and the sun.

Or the more ridiculously necessary blood, skin, bones, muscles, ligaments, and organs.

But what about more intangible things like logical thinking, being open minded, being understanding of others, the concept of time, random ponderings, and knowing you have friends that care about you?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. Random ponderings, philosophical concepts, space and time, civilization, the future, the brain, people and why they are the way they are, and life in general. I think about things way too much. It annoys the heck outta me sometimes, but I can't help it, thats the way my brain works. It's over-active, hyper-aware, it over-analyzes, it's constantly making lists, and it won't shut up when I want to go to sleep. Why doesn't it have an on/off switch?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing something fun or relaxing. Just about anything really (or nothing at all). I like hangin out with friends, goin out for a couple drinks, listening to music, watching movies, playing video games, ping-pong, skiing, kayaking, and a bunch of other stuff. Just suggest something and I'll probably be up for it. Or sometimes it's nice to just stay in relaxing with someone, talking, and watching a movie while splitting a bottle of wine, or having a couple beers.

Oh and I don't usually do this on a Friday night necessarily, but I love going to Cedar Point. If you want to go sometime, let me know!

I also miss walking through the Arb, you should ask me to join you for a beautiful stroll before winter gets here. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know... I'm very open, nothing is too private. I would tell you anything if you asked, but here's a few for now. I'm a little nerdy. I have some OCD tendancies (it's nothing crazy I can't push aside if need be, but I can be particular about how things are done, where things go, and what numerical settings things are set to). I'm a giver more than a receiver. ...and I have two more I would almost write here, but they're not exactly something you plaster on the front page of a profile, so if you want to know you can ask.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are interested in the possibility of a threesome. My girlfriend has never been with a woman, but is curious. She doesn't know too many girls she can ask right now, so we're hoping that meeting some new ones might lead to something...

Keep in mind, that as a guy in a world where men are often still expected to make the first move and in a medium where we vastly outnumber the women, I'm lucky if I get sent ONE message every couple MONTHS. Just think how much that message stands out. Women who take the initiative to actually write me instantly get +50 awesome points in my book. ;) So if you're even thinking about possibly writing me, go for it, you never know what could happen.
