I've lived in Seattle for over 15 years, after living in San Francisco post-college. I'm editing my novel, having just switched to full-time after years of working for non-profits. I hope my novel isn't a non-profit effort. Of course it continues to be a journey, teaching me a lot about work and myself as I shave off paragraphs to get it into shape for when I take the next step of getting an agent.
I am very keen on photography and love looking at other's work, especially in galleries and museums.
I like to work out and run, too.

Books: John Gardner's October Light and Franzen's The Corrections are two stand-outs for me, and I also love Murakami, Markson, and am reading Faulkner's novels (originally planned to read them all in a year, but have to recalibrate that goal).

Music: I've been on a bit Beck kick and also lately a lot of The Sea and Cake, Centro-matic, Let's Active, with Joy Division, Guided by Voices, Minutemen, John Coltrane, Sun Ra, Pharaoh Sanders being some serious guideposts along the way.

Food: sushi, fish and chips (I know a great place), clam chowder.

Movies and tv: loved Dexter, Homeland, The Wire, Sideways, Midnight in Paris, and Moneyball.

Pen and paper, camera, friends, coffee, shoes, and dental floss.
