The Double Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Demian Herman Hesse
A few years ago, Religious Zealots claimed the heavens would open up, and so these people disrobed, to nothing, to embrace their God just as he created them. They would rise from the earth to meet the Creator. The immaculate Creator that formed an entire universe in 6 days, and modeled his favorite creation in his image, man. Man born without sin, and destined to live the law of God. However, man from the beginning of his existence, flawed and inherent with 'sin', will always be with sin. Claimed, if you repent your sins, all will be forgiven because Jesus died for man and all his sins. Essentially man can break the law of God, and all will be forgiven as long as man apologizes for straying the course, again and again. And so it goes man will be saved and welcomed into the kingdom of heaven, because man is virtuous.
Despite greed and wrath which exists in every form of government, man can spin wild fables to herd his sheep. Pulling the wool over their eyes, to bid his herd to give their warmth for his fortune and in return he will feed his herd the minimum diet to conserve his wealth. Man is entitled as that wealth is to nourish his family, to live a pure and bountiful life to which God has granted. Just as God has granted man Earth, with flourishing forests, and deep blue seas, mountain ranges that stretch across continents, God endowed man with game; in gratitude man has made a sport. In these forests seas and mountains, are the animals that habituate hibernate and eventually cease to exist.
Since the rapture passed, you were not chosen to ascend to heaven. So what is your sin you did not repent? Was it divorce? Were you unfaithful? Did you act out on homosexual desires that you continue to deny? Did you forget that night you ate shellfish? Extinction is inevitable, not because God will cast fire and brimstone but because man will destroy it, and God will allow it.
Its hard for me to trust the script of man, 'from the mouth of God'. To me, Gods purpose for man is to find his own personal journey to God. He is Ganesha or Allah, even the Lord our Savior. No matter belief, color or orientation man is always accepted by God, his favorite creation made in his image.
I'm not of any creed, but the fact that the earth is over 4,000 million years old, billions upon billions of galaxies exist in an infinite universe, but God chose just man to live on this single planet. Does man not feel privileged, how has man earned his existence? Our gorgeous planet that is ultimately dying because of ignorance and resistance, majority based on faith.
Our generation, or even the generation to be born may not see the end of man and all Gods creatures in their lifetime. Though, when toxic gases kill our forests and the oceans flood our lands. Man will climb to the peak of the mountain and pray to God,
'What is it I could do for you?'
You notice that I am kind and unassuming. You talk without bias or indignation. When I state my opinion, your objective while explaining what it is that makes you. You recognize that black and white is a photo or a film and not a point that sits on a horizon, with much more detail than you or I will ever see. You sense that I can be as dry as the beer I drink and able to pour it yourself. You like that I am always changing my appearance though see me as I have always been. You give me the opportunity to build my environment as I am able to learn how you assemble yours.
I spend a lot of time thinking about you during my morning routine and that I cant get to you fast enough. When we go for a walk, maybe you will hold my hand the entire time. You don't mind my need to observe and know everything and its purpose. How patient you are when I am quiet and know that's just how I am. Your words are important to me when you think I'm not listening and come to understand that I always do. Like me, your just as much of an adventurer and thats why we work so well together. I admire you because you are genuine modest and always thoughtful of your next move.
