Greetings.

Relatively new to Los Angeles girl here, originally from the South and other parts of "back east" United States.

I have a love/hate relationship with LA so far, but lately it's been more 'love'.

I am fresh out of college (a semester ahead of schedule!) and now I work for a movie studio doing some pretty boring stuff (for now).

In my free-time, I like to do charity work. But I actually do it and I'm not all bark and no bite on that one. If that makes sense.

Karate!

For a while it was my mohawk thing I had going there for a while.

For girls, it's usually my various assortment of brightly colored pants.

For guys, it's usually my ass. Sigh.

Books - I like to read a lot of small-time publications' novels. A lot of authors you've probably never heard of. Plus, McSweeney's, and of course, a lot of classics. I'm a sucker for Shakespeare, Romantic poetry, George Orwell, and some Beat Generation stuff. a pretty mixed bag.

Movies - Independent stuff. I'm one of those suckers for Wes Anderson movies (though I may be the only girl on the planet who thinks The Darjeeling Limited was his best film to date). Also: David Lynch, most Tim Burton (Big Fish!), I'm a sucker for big Steven Spielberg movies, Judd Apatow comedies, and pretty much anything put out by Focus Features.

Music - Animal Collective, At the Drive-In, Autolux, Björk, Built to Spill, The Dismemberment Plan, Elliott Smith, France Gall and cute French music, Joanna Newsom, Joy Division, Liars, My Bloody Valentine, of Montreal, Peter Bjorn and John, Radiohead, Sleater-Kinney, The Velvet Underground, Wilco, !!!, and tons more. If you've never heard of mostb of these bands, we'd probably never get along.

Food - Tacos. And lots of them.

Shaved legs, both on me and other girls (sorry, Feminism. I just love smooth legs.)

The ability to walk I guess, that's relatively important.

Dreams.

Being able to get to San Francisco cheap. Which means gas prices and airfare need to stay low!

Health insurance.

And how to get there without taking the freeway.

And when my car will be fixed.

Trying to get the bartender's attention. Failing.

I have a kind of scary amount of metal (mostly screws) in my body because of various injuries and accidents growing up (I played sports -- and was a tomboy). I think it puts a few pounds on me... I'd rather it be adamantium. That would be sweeeeet.

Also, (I'd like to think) I have kind of a wild side that people would probably guess I don't have.

I don't even know what I'm really looking for on this thing. Girls for sure. I'm kind of recently out of a relationship, and I know I need a break from that.
