in the motionless calm of the day, that memory
of living immersed, absorbed, in the stunned light."
Cesare Pavese from his poem; "The Night"
I have created a life for myself that through all the things that develop human character, I emerge self-actualized, full of light, joy and with so much love to offer the right person. Not sure if I'll discover my 'other half' on here, but it can't hurt to try.
Here's some background/general info about me:
I grew up in Connecticut (I'm the middle child of 5 kids) and moved out here to be with my family after they moved here (I've been out here for over 10 years now). I love my family and friends, and am so grateful for all the wonderful people in my life. It is such a trip to watch all of our lives evolve as we turn into the people we are. I can be very creative, cannot live a day without music, love the arts, animals!, traveling, photography, hiking, vegetarian for 5 years now...but I don't expect you to be (I would gladly cook you a steak). I like to play and jump into leaf piles, enjoy the change of seasons, I did grow up skiing (but it's been a long time since I've gone), make snowmen, sledding, etc., but give me sunshine, the beach, trees/forests, somewhere near a large body of water, or even the tropics, and I'm all set. I'm adventurous and love trying new things, but also enjoy my alone time (I'm good at entertaining myself). I work at a hospital and love my job and co-workers, but know that my passions and life purpose lie elsewhere. I also know there are people on here with a much more impressive passport collections than myself, but I've been asked a few times where I have traveled to, so here you go:I've been to Hong Kong, Bali, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawai'i many times, almost every state in the U.S., and many, many road trips. Just got back from backpacking the Na Pali coast on Kaua'i with my best friend and her two boys. Hooray for tax returns to boost vacation funds and to check another one off the bucket list!
