My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Trekkie, Browncoat, Whovian.

Looking to meet new people, extra points if you like to drink whiskey and/or live in Brooklyn.

I'm a huge nerd trapped in a gentleman.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Before moving to NY I was an Artist Development Rep at Capitol Records for 12 years based out of Detroit, where I was born and raised. I moved to NY to find something else. Right now I'm an account manager at the largest technology company in the world. I have both a music and a technology blog as well as a monthly podcast that I've been doing for the last 6 years.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Spelling. Current Affairs. Making tofu taste good. Starting fires while camping.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I have a pretty unique sense of style, clothing wise. I have my entire right arm tattooed. My weirdo eyes; they're brown with a weird grey ring.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a sci-fi/music nerd. Book wise, the most recent things I've read are the Expanse series by James SA Corey. Movie wise, like I said I'm a sci-fi guy. Musically, I'm all over the place. I have VERY eclectic tastes in music and tend to not like things that are popular. And lastly food wise, I've been a vegan for the last 10 years or so.

TV-wise, my DVR is pretty much full all of the time. Currently my faves are The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Hannibal, Supernatural, Homeland, House of Lies, The Big Bang Theory, Masters of Sex, Psych, Orphan Black, Ray Donovan, Game of Thrones, Falling Skies, Sunny, The League, South Park, Arrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Justified.

All time faves are Battlestar Galactica, The Sopranos, Deadwood, Buffy (I own EVERY season of DVD), Angel, Firefly, Star Trek (all of them except Enterprise), The Shield, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, etc.

Prince, Marvin Gaye, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Parliament/Funkadelic, Amy Winehouse (RIP), Adele, Kimbra, Portishead, Massive Attack, Sam Sparro, Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Steely Dan, Emiliana Torrini, Bjork, Jamie Lidell, Esthero, Van Hunt, Nikka Costa, Lewis Taylor, Haim, Little Dragon, the bird and the bee, Lily Allen, Sly and the Family Stone, Michael Jackson, Bill Withers, D'Angelo, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Bee Gees (yeah, I said it), the Police, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, the Roots, Slum Village, Ben Harper, Outkast, Spearhead, Gang Starr, The Time, Sheila E, the Family, Vanity/Apollonia 6, Jill Jones, Mazarati, The Brothers Johnson, Cymande, Heatwave, Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Morcheeba, Everything But The Girl, Lettuce, Moloko/Roisin Murphy, Tricky, Lamb, Alice Russell, Air, Radiohead, Erykah Badu, Sade, Corinne Bailey Rae, Hooverphonic, PJ Harvey, Rickie Lee Jones, Peter Gabriel, the Police/Sting, DISCO, pretty much everything that was ever released on Naked Music, Rage Against the Machine, QOTSA, Fishbone, Veruca Salt, the Donnas, Primus, Smashing Pumpkins, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Shuggie Otis, Roy Ayers, Quincy Jones, Miles Davis, Grant Green, John Coltrane, and I'm going to stop because I could LITERALLY keep going for an hour.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hmmm. In no particular order.
My friends and family.
My Mini Cooper S (her name is Betty)
Maker's Mark Bourbon.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Preparing for the impending zombie apocalypse, wondering what life would be like with transporters; whether training and pure will can turn a playboy millionaire into The Dark Knight; why I live in a world where I'm even aware of Kim Kardashian's existence; the logic behind the DC/Marvel debate; why it is that tourist families visiting NYC don't realize that walking hand in hand 4 deep is a really bad idea............ you know, normal stuff that people think about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In the clubhouse. My friends and I have a room reserved in a bar for us every Friday where we have cocktails and discuss our week. We also have a game we play called "What do you know this week, that you didn't know last week?" Occasionally we'll mix in a game of "Cards Against Humanity".
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When my Grandma would babysit me and my sister, she would only watch soap operas. So has my roommate caught me watching Young & the Restless? Well...maybe.
