My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there, all you wonderful people.

Here's one of my favorite jokes:
Q: What's brown and rhymes with Snoop?
(answer at the end of this section)

So, sometimes I tell jokes, if you are so inclined as to call them that. Other things about me are that I love my friends and family, I exercise, and I'm ambitious. I like big projects that take a long time and are vastly rewarding in terms of quality of life: skills, understanding, joy, people, resources, etc. One example of this is starting a company, at which I'm 14 months in and just completed a successful Kickstarter.

A: Dr. Dre.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an entrepreneur making video games and playing around with egalitarian and passion-based organization systems.

Unsure what that means? Ask! Think it's the cat's pajamas? Let me know you exist!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Game design and playing strategy games are major competencies. Building things with my hands when I'm inspired to do so, including but not limited to food, origami, and contraptions, is something I'm decent at. I'm great at thinking and want to share all of my most useful abstractions with you. I LOVE doing things with my body provided I have the right company (fencing, rock climbing, hiking), and I'm not necessarily good at them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physical: I'm 6'2".
Conversational: I listen, and think about what I'm hearing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
- Overall: my favorite author is Neil Gaiman. Everything he touches turns to gold.
- Recently: I just read The Art of Learning by Josh Waitzkin and loved it. I'm working on The Startup Owner's Manual.
Movies & Shows
- Overall: Joss Whedon and Miyazaki are two of my many favorite creators. Pan's Labyrinth and Doctor Who are two of my many favorite creatons.
- Recently: Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (second half), Frozen, and The Edge of Tomorrow.
- Overall: I'm between favorite artists, and instead have lots of specific songs that speak to me far more than any body of work.
- Recently: Wax Fang's Majestic, The Cat Empire's Brighter than Gold, and Portugal the Man's Purple, Yellow, Red, and Blue.
- Overall: lots of strategy games: Go, chess, Magic, D&D, Starcraft II, Civ IV & V, poker, Dominion, etc, but honestly I just like playing games. Any game with anyone.
- Recently: Hearthstone.
- Fun fact: I played on the Pro Tour of Magic: The Gathering before I went to college.
- I love variety: Thai noodle dishes, Indian curry, Sushi, Chinese, Mexican, American... you name it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends & family,
art & creativity,
laptop & internet,
sticky notes & whiteboards,
notebook & pen,
and new things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future. The future. Myself (introspection, how to grow). My people. Conversations. The patterns of universal truths that underly the chaos of everyday life in this mad world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm down for:
- Grabbing a beer or several,
- Playing games,
- Going on a semi-urban hike (near civilization yet near green), then finding a forest and swordfighting imaginary monsters with sticks, or
- Watching some TV on the internet.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Gosh, if you're thinking about it you should just do it. Reasons include:
- Unlike some guys, I find that attractive.
- Seattle online dating is a HUUUUGE sausage fest, so you're guaranteed to stand out to me.
- I know that your inbox is full of messages, but somehow you wound up here, reading profiles, at the bottom of one written by a guy with a penchant for verbosity, and you're considering messaging him. Given how much you don't need to message people, even the slightest inkling that you might want to is a really great indication that you should. Your subconscious is talking to you. It says "message him." Listen to it.
