My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As Louis CK says, be curious about other people. It does feed as well as makes you feel. I enjoy physical work, enjoy eating out or cooking in...ack, this is such a weird exercise. Yeah, I dream when I sleep and attempt to do interesting things when I am awake, that summarizes me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
why, attempting to write the next best screenplay. They're suppose to take a long time and I don't intend to break that mold.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
finding typos.

hmmmm, what, 4000 years of culture condensed into a box? How entitled you are, Internet.

Reading The Savage Detectives right now, think it'll be up there for me. Finished watching True Detective, that was a good one, the DP blew it out of the water. Dallas Buyers' Club couldn't get me to shut up about it. Really enjoyed the humor in Eastbound and Down, if you're gonna go ridiculous and absurd, do it that way. The Office (UK) and Extras stand right at the top. Peep Show. Loved Get a Life for the season (or was it two?) it was on. Watched the Larry Sanders Show on its first run because I like Gary Shandling from It's the Gary Shandling Show.

The music I typically listen to is electronic. However, I find my habits lately have been to listen to classic country. You know, in a way, it is dance music. Some of it anyway.

Food: anything whole, give me that citric acid, that heavy cream, that cabrales aged in a cave for 6 months, some of that jamon, oysters, fresh mozz, pho, oh god, this could go on forever. Oh wait, my new favorite thing: biltong. It's beef jerky but not beef jerky the way you and I think of beef jerky. It's a Southern African thing and it's such a delight. Makes it seem like its American counterpart chooses not to try hard enough.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
It'll sound pretentious but I do think a lot about how humans can be so different from all other species. I mean, obviously there's the similarities with mammals and such, but how are we driving cars, sending emails, watching Dane Cook, and complaining about not receiving your Amazon package on the day you were expecting it? Is it some departure that happened and the 'design' couldn't have predicted such a course? Are we really the lords and stewards of the land (I don't believe this)? Is it determinism? What is it? I'm happy to buy you dinner for eternity if you can help me understand better this (Dawkins' the Selfish Gene does help quite a bit though).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working, not working, with friends, not with friends, in, out, shake it all about, wanting to do the hanky panky, after all, isn't that what it's all about?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I typically jam soft rock when I have access to the radio.
