My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been said to look like both a lumberjack and a British Lord, so I figured saying that I look like a classy lumberjack would be an appropriate descriptor.

Otherwise, I procrastinate, I forget things and I rarely bother to worry. I'd say that I try to meet more people, that I can never quite break the ice, but then I can't be shutted up afterwards, but then I would be the same as everyone else on this site.

Simply, I'm a good-hearted guy, passionate about what I love. I enjoy living a modest life, trying to slowly turn into a decent adult. Saying I'm a geek would be an understatement, and I'm currently working on a PhD degree in chemistry. I prefer smaller social activities as opposed to huge crowds, and I like trying/learning new things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing cliches, such as saying I'm living my life.

I'm working toward a PhD in chemistry at Ottawa U (and no, I don't cook crystal meth for a living, nor in my spare times for that matter, thankyouverymuch), which eats up a lot of time. I'm around for another two years easily; afterwards, who knows? I've always cherished the idea of living somewhere else in the world (notably Europe), basically wherever life and work will take me.

That said, I do keep tabs on my professional life to ensure I still have a life and soul outsude of work. I brew sweet, sweet delicious beer in my spare time for my weekly drinkscapades, I go out at the local watering hole for a beer or ten and try to keep up with good movies. I'm also trying to get my beard to evolve from the Sea Captain level to the Wicked Wizard stage, with, alas, limited success so far.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Forgetting things and being totally disorganized?

I'm a decent cook, which is apparently a big surprise, judging from people's reaction.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My size and my somewhat majestic beard

Star Wars is easily the (ensemble of) movies that had the greatest impact on my life. I wouldn't say it's the greatest movie ever though, and I'm a fan of a variety of movies, including westerns, comedies, science-fiction. I love movies such as the works of Quentin Tarantino's (must admit I was disappointed by Death Proof) and Mel Brooks', Batman (all of them!) as well as any superhero movies, Arnold's movies (at least the pre-Governator ones), Monty Python, etc.

I prefer listening to older rock, like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, ACDC, Rush, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, but I make room for more recent stuff, like Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, The Black Keys. Ultimately, I keep an open mind to anything that isn't rap or techno-electronic-trance-house-hardstyle-let's-repeat-the-same-blend-and-uninspired-but-fast-paced-shit-over-and-over-and-over-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-again.

I'm not much a TV fan, although the recent advent of Netflix has rekindled some of my love for what I consider good TV shows. These include Star Trek, How I met your mother, It's always sunny in Philadephia, Firefly, Archer, The Venture Bros.

I'll eat pretty much anything that can be qualified as food, short maybe of bugs and insects. I adore sushis, can't get enough of them. I like my food rich in flavors, and I do like having a little bit of heat in there. I like microbrewed beers, although my redneck side is totally partial to PBR. I'm a coffee fiend and a total sucker for an awesome latte.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-How come no one says wizard anymore?
-How screwed I would be if some apocalypse was to come.
-Coming up with chemistry related jokes or, even better, pick-up lines.
-Cats! I'm a cat enthusiast, to say the least. (I'm totally cool with dogs though)
-Life, the Universe and Everything
-Am I the only one around here who hasn't visited half of the frickin' countries on this planet and/or ran a marathon every six months for the past 10 years?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out having a beer with friends. Once in a blue moon, I'll be happily cozy at home watching a movie, taking a break from life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love the 80s. Like, all of it. Not a big secret per se for anyone who's even come close to my lab, but I like blasting some George Michael or some Lionel Richie on the stereo.

You feel like it. I'm pretty sociable, and I always love meeting new people and making new friends. I'd also rather meet in person for coffee or beer earlier rather than later instead of exchanging awkward emails for an extended period.
